Update ธุรกิจการบินในอาเซียน ตอนนี้ Airbus ส่งมอบ A380 ลำแรกจากสายการผลิตให้สิงคโปร์แอร์ไลน์ (SQ) เป็นที่เรียบร้อยแล้วครับ ปลายเดือนนี้จะทำการบินเที่ยวปฐมฤกษ์เที่ยวแรก Singapore - Sydney - Singapore โดยตั๋วโดยสารนั้นได้ถูกประมูลขายทาง eBay (ใบนึงตอนนี้ราคาราว 5 หมื่นเหรียญ) รายได้ทั้งหมดช่วยการกุศลครับ  First Class  Business Class  ส่วนเวียดนามแอร์ไลน์ เซ็นสัญญาสั่งซื้อเครื่องบินใหม่รวดเดียว 42 ลำ ในความพยายามที่จะยกระดับสายการบินประจำชาติให้ใหญ่เทียบเท่ายักษ์ใหญ่ในเอเชียอย่าง THAI, SQ, และ Cathey ซึ่งการสั่งซื้อประกอบไปด้วย A350-900 XWB (Xtra-Wdie Body) 10 ลำ A321 20 ลำ 787-800 อีก 12 ลำ โดยเวียดนามหวังว่าจะเพิ่มจำนวนเครื่องบินให้เป็น 110 ลำในปี 2020 เทียบกับปัจจุบันที่มี 45 ลำ ..... น่ากลัวนะครับ แม้ว่าในปัจจุบันเวียดนามแอร์ไลน์จะมีแต่เครื่องขนาดกลางและขนาดเล็กอย่าง 777-200ER, A330, A321, A320 ก็ตาม แต่การท่องเที่ยวที่เติบโตและเศรษฐกิจที่ร้อนแรงก็จะกระตุ้นการเดินทางทางอากาศได้มาก แถมมีโครงการสนามบินใหม่อีก หันมามองการบินไทยบ้างครับ ตอนนี้การบินไทยใกล้จะได้รับมอบ 777-300ER ลำสุดท้ายจากทั้งหมดที่สั่ง 6 ลำครับ ไม่มีรูป แต่การตกแต่งภายไทยหรูหราไฮโซ ซึ่งเป็นความพยายามหนึ่งในการที่จะ Renovate ภายใน Cabin ใหม่ทั้ง Fleet ของการบินไทย (คล้าย ๆ การตกแต่งใน A340) นอกจากนั้นคิวการสั่งซื้อเครื่องของการบินที่ที่รอรับมอบอยู่ก็มี A330-300 อีก 8 ลำ รับมอบในปี 2008 - 20010 และ A380 อีก 6 ลำ รับมอบในปี 2010 ...... นอกจากนั้น board ของการบินไทยยังอนุมัติแผนวิสาหกิจ 10 ปีที่จะซื้อเครื่องใหม่ทั้งหมด 65 ลำ ซึ่งยังไม่ได้มีการเลือกแบบ แต่ก็น่าจะเป็นพวก A350, B737-900, B787-800, B747, หรืออาจจะเป็น A380 เพิ่มก็ได้ และก็ทะยอย ๆ ปลด A300 ที่แก่เกินแกงออกไปครับ (ขายต่อให้พวก FedEX หรือ DHL) ทำให้ทั้ง Fleet ในอีก 1 ปีข้างหน้าจะมีเครื่องทั้งหมดเกือบ 120 ลำ จากปัจุบันประมาณ 80 กว่าลำ ส่วนทางด้าน Bangkok Airways นั้นกำลังทะยอยรับมอบเครื่องบินใหม่ A319 จำนวน 7 ลำ มือหนึ่งจากโรงงาน ซึ่งจะทำให้ปัจจุบันทางสายการบินมีเครื่องราว 20 กว่าลำ เป็น ATR-72, B717, A320, และ A319 ครับ ซึ่ง Bangkok Airways เป็นสายการบินภูมิภาค (Regional Airlines) ที่ได้รับรางวัลยอดเยี่ยมระดับโลกมาหลายปีติดต่อกัน การเติบโตค่อนข้างแข็งแกร่งและมีเครือข่ายการขายที่มีประสิทธิภาพครับ สุดท้ายกับการจัดอันดับ Airlines of The Year ปีล่าสุด การบินไทยได้รับอันดับสองของโลก รองจาก SQ ส่วนอันดับ 3 เป็น Cathay และ Malaysia Airline ได้อันดับ 6 ส่วนในการจัด Best Regional Airline นั้น Bangkok Airways ได้รับรองวัลยอดเยี่ยมทั้ง Best Regional Airline ใน South East Asia และ Best Regional Airline ในเอเชียทั้งทวีป สำหรับรางวัล ลูกเรือยอดเยี่ยม (Best Cabin Staff) การบินไทยได้อันดับ 3 รองจาก Malaysia Airline และ Singapore Airline ซึ่งตกจากอันดับ 1 ในปีที่แล้ว (จนทำให้การบินไทยต้องออกแคมเปญ "คุณคะ" เลยล่ะมั๊ง) ส่วน Royal First Lounges ของการบินไทยที่สุวรรณภูมิ ได้รับรางวัล Best First Class Lounges อันดับ 1 ของโลก (ไม่แปลกใจเลย) แต่ในส่วนของที่นั่งชั้น 1 นั้น Royal First ของการบินไทยได้อันดับ 5 ของโลก รองจาก Qatar Airways, Singapore Airlines, Cathay Pacific และ Malaysia Airlines ครับ ติดตามผลการจัดอันดับของ SkyTrex ทั้งหมดได้ที่นี่ครับ //www.worldairlineawards.com/ ข่าวที่เกี่ยวข้อง By ELIZABETH M. GILLESPIE Oct 1, 2007 SEATTLE (AP) In an order split between fierce rivals, Vietnam Airlines has said it plans to buy 10 long-range, midsize Airbus A350s while adding to a previous order for Boeing 787s, the aircraft makers said Monday. Toulouse, France-based Airbus SAS said Vietnam Airlines signed a memorandum of understanding for 10 A350-900 XWBs plus 20 smaller A321s. Airbus has yet to schedule delivery of those planes. The order is worth about $4 billion at list prices, though airlines typically negotiate steep discounts. Boeing Co., whose commercial airplanes unit is based in Seattle, confirmed that Vietnam Airlines has said it intends to add more planes to a 787 order it placed in 2005, but it declined to say how many, citing the airplane maker's policy of not releasing details on orders until they're final. The first 787 model Boeing is manufacturing sells for an average list price of $162 million. A representative of state-owned Vietnam Airlines could not immediately be reached to discuss the orders. Airbus designed the A350 to compete with Boeing's 787, which will be the first large commercial jetliner made mostly of carbon fiber composites when it enters service next year. Composites are lighter and more durable than aluminum, which Boeing has said will make the 787 more fuel efficient and cheaper to maintain. So far, Chicago-based Boeing has far outpaced Airbus on orders in the increasingly hot market for midsize, long-haul jets, which many airlines have been ordering as they update and expand their fleets with more fuel-efficient planes. To date, Boeing has won more than 700 orders for the 787, while Airbus has received 154 firm orders and 110 nonbinding commitments for the A350, which is scheduled to enter service in 2013. Airbus had to invest in a costly redesign of the A350, widening the fuselage and using more composites, after customers weren't happy with the plane's original design. Vietnam Airlines has a fleet of 23 Airbus planes including 10 A320s, 10 A321s and three A330s plus 10 extended-range models of Boeing's 777. Five previously ordered A321s are still scheduled for delivery, as are the four 787s the airline ordered in 2005. Late last week, British Airways PLC split an order between the two aircraft makers, ordering 24 787s and a dozen Airbus A380 superjumbos. The double-decker A380 will overtake Boeing's 747 as the world's largest passenger airliner. "This is a day of which we can be proud," Airbus head Thomas Enders said in Toulouse. The aircraft, which Singapore will configure to seat 471 passengers, is scheduled to go into service at the end of October. Depending on configuration, the twin-deck A380 can seat up to about 850 passengers. The carrier took possession of the aircraft two years later than had been scheduled, because various production problems had repeatedly forced Airbus to revise its delivery schedule. The last announced delay, in June of last year, caused by cabling problems due to faulty software, led to steep plunge in the share price of Airbus's parent company European Aeronautic Defence & Space (EADS) and a reshuffle of the leadership of both companies. On Monday, Enders said there would be no additional delays in the delivery to customers of the A380. "I do not believe there will be further delays," Enders said. With one-class seat configuration, the aircraft has 144-seat capacity and is able to reach the maximum range of seven hours. Initial route designations for this aircraft are Bangkok-Phuket and Bangkok- Siem Reap. The board met on 17 September to review management's plan and the carrier says that if government approval is secured it will comprise the purchase of 65 new aircraft between 2008 and 2017 - excluding the more than a dozen aircraft already on order such as Airbus A330-300 twinjets and ultra-large Airbus A380s. State-controlled Thai says the board-supported proposals will now be forwarded to several government departments for approval. It adds that 47 of the 65 aircraft it intends to purchase will be for replacement purposes and the remainder for growth. After government approvals are secured, deals can be negotiated with manufacturers. The Star Alliance carrier does not identify specific aircraft types it wants to acquire, but says the plan is to order: 16 aircraft seating between 300 and 500 passengers 29 aircraft seating between 250 and 350 passengers and 20 aircraft seating between 150 and 250 passengers. "The total investment figure is approximately 400,000 million baht [$12.5 billion]," it says. The airline says no firm decisions have been taken on which aircraft types are to be ordered. Senior executives have said, however, that the carrier is considering ordering Boeing 747-8s in the 300- to 500-seat category Airbus A350s and/or Boeing 787s in the 250- to 350-seat category and Airbus A321s and/or Boeing 737-900s in the 150- to 250-seat category. "The aircraft to be purchased will include long-range aircraft for operation between regions, mid- to long-range aircraft for operation within the [Asia-Pacific] region, and [narrowbody] aircraft for domestic and regional operations," Thai says. Earlier this year the Star Alliance carrier said it was drawing up a new business plan for the 2008-17 period that would include proposals for the replacement of dozens of older aircraft in its fleet and the purchase of additional aircraft for expansion.
