I had never ever realized that to be a single woman in my late twenties would be such a big matter for my family and even my friends.

I have actually been asked many times when I am going to tie the knot since I was twenty-five. But this question seems to have become a serious issue after most of my friends, one-after another, had gotten married. It is being repeated many times whenever I meet my people.

The "when-are-you-going-to-get-married?" question does not sound complicated, but it is always very difficult for me to give its answer. This is because I don't really know the answer.

I have learned a lot from my experience that is better not to give negative answers like; "I don't know." or " I'm waiting for the man to appear in my life." I think some people do not want to hear these kinds of hopeless answers. So, they will shoot you with tons of qustions and suggestions, just to make sure that they can help you in some way.

Therefore, the answers should sound like you are giving hope to them. You need to let them believe that sooner or later they shall hear the good news from although you still do not know whether is is sooner or later.

However, what I have learned from these incidents is not merely how to entertain people with a suitable answer, but I have also learned that life after marry is not like a fairy tale of which the end is happy ever after.

Getting married is not the end of the story, on the other hand, it is only the beginning of another story, in which the prince and princess need to be more tolerated. Some couples give up their marriage life just two or three years after their wedding, which I do not want this to happen to me or even to anyone.

My friend, once, mentioned that to get married is like to draw a lucky number. You might think your lifepartner is whom you are looking for, but actually he can turn out to be someone you really cannot get along with.

Nevertheless, the other friends of mine said that you cannot find the perfect guy, but you can seek for your guy whom you can accept him as he is and who can accept you as you are.

The only significant thing is whether you have set the criteria for your guy or not. He might not be perfect but if most of his qualities are what you expect, this means he is right for you. The rest you need to adjust yourself.

In general, at my age, I better not have too many criteria. I should set just a few, but they have to visualize him as an appropriate person for me. Thus, my future lifepartner should be resoponsible, reasonable and godly. Any guy with these three criteria has the possibility of being my lifepartner.
