                         วันนี้มาโชว์ต้นไม้อีกต้นหนึ่งที่จัดอยู่ในกลุ่มไม้มงคล หรือไม้เสี่ยงทาย "กวักมรกต" ZZ plant หรือ Zamioculcas zamifolia เป็นต้นไม้โชว์ใบเลี้ยงดูง่ายที่สุดเพราะเป็นไม้อวบน้ำ ไม่ต้องรดน้ำบ่อย ไม่ชอบน้ำท่วมขัง ไม่ชอบแดดจัดเลี้ยงได้ในที่ร่ม ทนทานจนได้รับชื่อ eternity plant ไม่มีศัตรูพืช เพราะเป็นไม้มีพิษทั้งต้น ใบ และราก

                             ซื้อกระถางเล็ก 70 บาทเมื่อหลายปีก่อน ต้นสูงใหญ่และแตกหน่อมากเต็มบ้านจนเลิกแยกกอ ที่แยกกอก็เพราะเมื่อปริมาณต้นมาก ลำต้นแออัดกันก็จะเบียดดันให้บางต้นหลุดออกจากดินที่เกาะอยู่ โยกคลอนหลุดออกจากกระถาง ถ้าไม่ปล่อยตายก็ต้องนำมาฝังลงในดินใหม่ไปเรื่อยๆ การขยายพันธุ์ปักชำได้ทั้งลำต้นและใบ อัตรางอกร้อยเปอร์เซนต์

                          ในบางประเทศเรียกต้นนี้ว่า money plant ถ้าจัดในไม้เสี่ยงทายก็คือปลูกได้งอกงามมีดอกเจ้าของจะมีโชคลาภ ถ้าปลูกแล้วเหี่ยวเฉาล้มหายตายจากก็ไม่ค่อยดี แนวความคิดเหล่านี้เป็นการถือมงคลนอกศาสนาพุทธ ต้นกำเนิดแนวความคิดจากไหนหาแหล่งอ้างอิงไม่พบ โดยส่วนตัวคิดว่า อาจเป็นกลวิธีจูงใจของผู้ผลิตต้นไม้ เพื่อเพิ่มปริมาณการขายหรือเพิ่มราคาการขายต้นไม้ของกลุ่มต้นไม้โชว์ใบ และต้นไม้ที่ไม่ได้มีดอกที่ดึงดูดใจ

มีหลักการที่สำคัญคือ

1.แสวงหาโภคทรัพย์โดยธรรม โดยไม่เครียดครัด

2. ทำตนให้เป็นสุขให้อิ่มหนำ

3.แบ่งปันโภคทรัพย์บำเพ็ญบุญ,

4.ไม่กำหนัด ไม่มัวเมา ไม่ลุ่มหลง มีปกติเห็นโทษ มีปัญญาเป็นเครื่องสลัดออก บริโภคโภคทรัพย์เหล่านั้น.
