Free Speech TV (FSTV) is an independent, non-profit TV station based in Denver, Colorado that was started in 1995. It is supported by public donations and is owned and operated by Public Communicators Incorporated, an organization that was founded in 1974.
Free Speech TV broadcasts independently produced news programs and documentaries that deal with social, political, cultural and environmental issues. News programs broadcast on FSTV include The Thom Hartmann Program, GRITtv with Laura Flanders, Gay USA, The Marc Steiner Show and Democracy Now!.It also airs documentaries and original programs of newsworthy events like the United States Social Forum in Detroit, Michigan, June 22-26, 2010, the One Nation March in Washington, D.C., on Oct. 2, 2010 and full coverage of the 2010 Elections on Nov. 2, 2010.
Free Speech TV is broadcast full-time to 30 million households in the United States through Dish Network and DIRECTV. It is broadcast part-time on 200 cable access affiliates and also broadcast as streaming video from the channel's website
NASA TV (originally NASA Select) is the television service of the United States government agency NASA. NASA TV is broadcast by satellite with a simulcast over the Internet. Local cable television systems across the U.S. and amateur television repeaters may carry NASA TV at their discretion, as NASA-created content is considered a work of the U.S. government and is in the public domain. The network was formally created in the early 1980s to provide NASA managers and engineers with real-time video of missions. NASA has operated a television service since the beginning of the space program for archival purposes, and in order to provide media outlets with video footage.
The network airs a large amount of educational programming, and provides live coverage of an array of manned missions, including the Space Shuttle and International Space Station (ISS), robotic missions, and international launches. The network completed its conversion from analog to digital transmission in late 2005 following the launch of STS-114, ending a period of dual analog and digital broadcasting, although some cable television systems may still have transmitted in analog prior to the U.S. digital television transition. The satellite link uses the DVB-S system for transmission.
C-SPAN (pronounced /ˈsiːspæn/), an abbreviation of Cable-Satellite Public Affairs Network, is an American cable television network owned and operated by the cable industry. It airs non-stop coverage of government proceedings and public affairs programming. C-SPAN does not accept outside advertising; the only commercials aired are for its own programming and products.
C-SPAN operates three television channels, one radio station, and several websites that provide streaming media including archives of many C-SPAN programs. The television networks are:

The Amazon Kindle is a portable e-book reader. More precisely, it is a software, hardware and network platform developed by Amazon.com subsidiary Lab126 that utilizes wireless connectivity to enable users to shop for, download, browse, and read e-books, newspapers, magazines, blogs, and other digital media in some countries. The Kindle hardware devices, like other e-reader devices, use an e-ink electronic paper display that, in addition to displaying up to 16 shades of gray, minimizes power consumption and simulates reading on paper.
Several hardware devices support this platform, including a main "Kindle" line and a parallel "Kindle DX" line. The most recent Kindle device is the third incarnation of the main line, officially named "Kindle", but usually referred to as "Kindle 3". Kindle 3 was released on August 27, 2010. User reports indicate that the new display on the Kindle 3, with E Ink Pearl technology, is noticeably superior to previous generations.
The Kindle DX line features larger screens than the main Kindle line and is marketed as more suitable for displaying newspaper and textbook content.Amazon has also introduced Kindle software for use on various devices and platforms, including Microsoft Windows, iOS, BlackBerry, Mac OS X (10.5 onwards), Android and Windows Phone 7.
Content for the Kindle can be purchased online and downloaded wirelessly in some countries, using either standard Wi-Fi or Amazon's 3G "Whispernet" network.Whispernet is accessible without any monthly fee or wireless subscription, although fees can be incurred for the delivery of periodicals and other content when roaming internationally beyond the customer's home country. Through a service called "Whispersync", customers can synchronize reading progress, bookmarks and other information across Kindle hardware devices and other mobile devices
