ปรากฎการณ์ประหลาด จากเหตุ "โลกร้อน!"
ผลกระทบที่เกิดขึ้นจากภัย "โลกร้อน" ไม่เพียงแต่ก่อให้เกิดความเปลี่ยนแปลงที่เห็นได้ชัดเจน อาทิ อากาศร้อนขึ้น น้ำแข็งขั้วโลกละลาย หรือระดับน้ำทะเลโลกสูงขึ้นเท่านั้น แต่ปัจจุบันยังเป็นต้นเหตุของปรากฎการณ์แปลกๆ มากมาย ซึ่งเกี่ยวพันกับการหายสาบสูญของทะเลสาบ โรคภูมิแพ้โดยไม่ทราบสาเหตุ วิถีโคจรของดาวเทียมในอวกาศ ฯลฯ!
ในช่วงไม่กี่ปีที่ผ่านมานี้ ในประเทศสหรัฐอเมริกาได้เกิดปรากฎการณ์ประหลาดขึ้นทุกๆ ช่วงฤดูใบไม้ผลิ นั่นคือ ประชาชนไอ จาม ป็นภูมิแพ้ และหอบหืดกันง่ายขึ้นและบ่อยขึ้นโดยไม่ทราบสาเหตุ จากการศึกษาที่ผ่านมา พบว่า วิถีชีวิตที่เปลี่ยนแปลงไปกับสภาพมลพิษในอากาศ เป็นสาเหตุสำคัญของอาการดังกล่าว อย่างไรก็ตาม มีงานวิจัยใหม่ๆ ชี้ให้เห็นว่า วิกฤตอุณหภูมิโลกร้อนขึ้นและมีระดับก๊าซคาร์บอนไดออกไซด์ในอากาศมากขึ้น คือต้นเหตุทำให้พืชพรรณต่างๆ ผลิใบเร็วกว่าเดิม ขณะเดียวกันปริมาณละอองเกสรที่ฟุ้งกระจายไปตามอากาศก็มากขึ้นเช่นกัน คนที่เป็นภูมิแพ้หรือหอบหืดเมื่อสูดละอองเหล่านี้เข้าไปมากๆ อาการจึงกำเริบง่าย
ผลกระทบจากปัญหาโลกร้อน ทำให้สัตว์บางชนิด เช่น กระรอก ตัวชิปมังก์ หรือแม้กระทั่งหนู ต้องอพยพหนีขึ้นไปอยู่บนที่สูงขึ้น สัตว์ที่กำลังเผชิญปัญหาใหญ่ ได้แก่ "หมีขั้วโลก" ที่ในอนาคตอาจมีชีวิตอยู่ในถิ่นฐานเดิมแถบอาร์กติก ขั้วโลกเหนือไม่ได้ เนื่องจากธารน้ำแข็งละลายอย่างรวดเร็ว
ช่วงไม่กี่ทศวรรษที่ผ่านมา ผลจากภาวะน้ำแข็งขั้วโลกละลายเพราะโลกร้อน ส่งผลต่อการดำรงอยู่ของพืชและสัตว์จำนวนมาก ตามปกติ พืชแถบอาร์กติกจะถูกปกคลุมอยู่ในน้ำแข็งตลอดทั้งปี แต่ปัจจุบัน เมื่อน้ำแข็งละลายมากขึ้นเรื่อย โดยเฉพาะในช่วงก่อนฤดูใบไม้ผลิต จึงทำให้พืชที่เคยถูกห่อหุ้มด้วยน้ำแข็งกลายเป็นอิสระ สามารถเริ่มกระบวนการสังเคราะห์แสงและกลับมาเติบโตขึ้นอีกครั้ง กลายเป็นอีก 1 ปรากฎการณ์ใหม่ของพื้นที่ขั้วโลกเหนือ เรื่องประหลาดๆ ที่เกิดขึ้นในเขตอาร์กติก หรือ ขั้วโลกเหนือยังไม่หมดแค่นั้น มีงานวิจัยชี้ให้เห็นว่า ในช่วง 20-30 ปีที่ผ่านมา "ทะเลสาบ" ประมาณ 125 แห่งได้หายสาบสูญไปจากเขตอาร์กติก เป็นสัญญาณหนึ่งที่ช่วยให้เห็นว่า ภัยโลกร้อนส่งผลกระทบเร็วมากต่อสภาพแวดล้อมแถบขั้วโลก สาเหตุที่ทะเลสาบหายไปก็เพราะ "เพอร์มาฟรอส" ที่เป็นน้ำแข็งแข็งตัวอยู่ใต้พื้นทะเลสาบนั้นละลายหมดสิ้นไป ดังนั้น น้ำในทะเลสาบจึงซึมเข้าสู่พื้นดินข้างใต้ได้ เหมือนกับเวลาเราดึงจุกปิดน้ำออกจากอ่างอาบน้ำแล้วน้ำจึงไหลหมดไปจากอ่างนั่นเอง นอกจากนี้ การที่ทะเลสาบขั้วโลกหายวับไป ยังส่งผลลูกโซ่ปั่นป่วนไปถึงระบบนิเวศในพื้นที่ที่พึ่งพิงน้ำจากทะเลสาบอีกด้วย ภาวะโลกร้อนไม่ได้เพียงแค่ทำให้ธารน้ำแข็งขั้วโลกละลายอย่างต่อเนื่องเท่านั้น แต่ยังส่งผลให้ชั้นน้ำแข็งถาวรที่มีอยู่ใต้พื้นผิวโลกค่อยๆ ละลายลดปริมาณลงไปเช่นกัน ผลลัพธ์ที่อาจเกิดขึ้นตามมาในอนาคตก็คือ จุดใต้พื้นโลก ซึ่งเคยเป็นน้ำแข็งหายไปจนเกิดเป็น "รูรั่ว" ใต้ดินขึ้นมา เมื่อเป็นเช่นนี้สภาพทางภูมิศาสตร์ในพื้นที่ย่อมเปลี่ยนไป นักวิทยาศาสตร์ส่วนใหญ่ยืนยันตรงกันทั่วโลก ว่าภัยโลกร้อนเป็นสาเหตุให้ธารน้ำแข็งละลายและพายุก่อตัวบ่อยและรุนแรงขึ้นกว่าในอดีต ยิ่งไปกว่านั้น ภาวะโลกร้อนยังเป็นปัจจัยหนึ่งที่ทำให้เกิด "ไฟป่า" ได้ง่ายขึ้นในหลายประเทศทั่วโลก และชาติเมืองหนาวในซีกโลกตะวันตก ซึ่งตามปกติไม่ค่อยมีปัญหาเรื่องไฟป่า ก็เริ่มรู้สึกถึงความเปลี่ยนแปลงนี้กันแล้ว เหตุเพราะสภาพป่าแห้งกว่าเดิม จึงเป็นเชื้อไฟอย่างดี โลกร้อนส่งผลให้หน้าหนาวหดสั้นลง และหน้าร้อนมาถึงเร็วขึ้น บรรดา "นกอพยพ" หลายสายพันธุ์ต่างมึนงง ปรับ "นาฬิกาชีวภาพ" ในตัวของมันให้เข้ากับสภาพความผันแปรของฤดูกาลที่บิดเบี้ยวไปไม่ทัน สัตว์ที่จะเอาชีวิตรอดจากสภาพภูมิอากาศแปรปรวนในทุกวันนี้ได้ต้องเป็นสายพันธุ์ที่แข็งแรงที่สุดเท่านั้น ในที่สุดสัตว์ที่อยู่รอดจะต้อง "กลายพันธุ์" หรือปรับพันธุกรรมในตัวมันเสียใหม่ เพื่อรับมือภัยโลกร้อนให้ได้ และมีสัตว์หลายชนิดกำลังวิวัฒนาการตัวเองเช่นนั้นอยู่
การปล่อยก๊าซคาร์บอนไดออกไซด์จากโรงงานอุตสาหกรรม โรงไฟฟ้าถ่านหิน ยวดยานพาหนะ ฯลฯ คือ ตัวการสำคัญของวิกฤตโลกร้อน ล่าสุดพบว่า เจ้าก๊าซตัวเดียวกันนี้เองที่ขึ้นไปสะสมมากขึ้นในชั้นบรรยากาศโลก ได้กลายเป็นต้นเหตุทำให้ "ดาวเทียม" ที่อยู่ในวงโคจรโลกเคลื่อนที่เร็วกว่าเดิม ตามปกติ อากาศในบรรยากาศชั้นนอกสุดของโลกจะเบาบาง แต่โมเลกุลของอากาศจะยังคงมีแรงดึงดูดมากพอในการทำให้ดาวเทียมโคจรช้าๆ ดังนั้น เราอาจเคยได้ยินข่าวกันมาบ้างว่า ผู้ควบคุมต้องจึดระเบิดดาวเทียมเป็นระยะๆ เพื่อให้ดาวเทียมโคจรต่อไปอย่างถูกต้อง อย่างไรก็ตาม เมื่อคาร์บอนไดออกไซด์ลอยไปสะสมในบรรยากาศชั้นล่างมากไป จะทำแรงดึงดูดของบรรยากาศชั้นนอกสุดลดกำลังลง ดาวเทียมจึงโคจรเร็วกว่าปกติ ภูเขาและเทือกเขาสูงหลายแห่งทั่วโลกกำลังขยายตัว "สูง" ขึ้น เพราะผลจากโลกร้อน! นั่นเป็นเพราะ ตามธรรมชาติที่ผ่านๆ มานับพันปี ยอดภูเขาในเขตหนาวเย็นโดยทั่วไปจะมี "น้ำแข็ง" ปกคลุมอยู่ ทำหน้าที่เป็นเหมือนกับตุ้มน้ำหนักที่คอยกดทับให้ฐานล่างของภูเขาทรุดต่ำลงไปใต้พื้นผิว เมื่อน้ำแข็งบนยอดเขามลายสูญสิ้นไป ส่วนฐานล่างที่เคยถูกกดจมดินลงไปจะค่อยๆ กระเด้งคืนตัวกลับมาเหนือผิวโลกอีกครั้ง
โบราณสถาน เมืองเก่าแก่ ซากปรักหักพังทางประวัติศาสตร์ ฯลฯ อันเป็นสิ่งแสดงถึงวัฒนธรรมอันรุ่งเรื่องของมนุษย์ในอดีตได้รับผลกระทบจากโลกร้อน เหตุเพราะโลกร้อนทำให้อากาศทั่วโลกแปรปรวน ทั้งเกิดพายุ น้ำท่วม ภัยแล้ง ระดับน้ำทะเลเพิ่มสูง และล้วนแต่ยิ่งสร้างความเสียหายให้กับมรดกตกทอดทางประวัติศาสตร์ดังกล่าว ซึ่งมีสภาพทรุดโทรมอยู่แล้ว โบราณสถานอายุ 600 ปีในจังหวัดสุโขทัยของประเทศไทยเรา ก็เคยเสียหายอย่างหนักเพราะภัยน้ำท่วมใหญ่ ซึ่งเป็นผลจากภัยโลกร้อน มาแล้วเช่นกัน ภาพหิมะ แถบแอนตาร์กติก้า ละลาย เพราะโลกร้อน

นักวิทย์ชี้ ไทยเจออากาศ ร้อนสุดๆ 60 วัน สรุปประเด็นข่าวโดยกระปุกดอทคอม ภาพประกอบทางอินเทอร์เน็ต ดร.อานนท์ สนิทวงศ์ ณ อยุธยา ผู้อำนวยการศูนย์เครือข่ายงานวิเคราะห์วิจัยและฝึกอบรมการเปลี่ยนแปลงของโลกแห่งภูมิภาคเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ (START) จุฬาลงกรณ์หาวิทยาลัย กล่าวภายในการสัมมนาวิชาการ เรื่อง ผลกระทบเนื่องจากการเปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพภูมิอากาศที่ส่งผลต่อประเทศไทย ว่า สภาพภูมิอากาศของประเทศไทยจะมีการเปลี่ยนแปลงมากขึ้นเรื่อยๆ ในช่วง 20 -30 ปีข้างหน้า และจะค่อยๆ รุนแรงขึ้น เห็นได้จากอัตราการเพิ่มขึ้นของระดับน้ำทะเล โดยเฉพาะบริเวณทะเลอันดามันจะสูงกว่าอ่าวไทย เนื่องจากการเปลี่ยน แปลงของลมมรสุมตะวันตกเฉียงใต้ และปริมาณฝนจะเกิดการเปลี่ยนแปลง โดยบริเวณชายฝั่งทะเลจะเกิดฝนตกถี่ขึ้น เมื่ออุณหภูมิโลกสูงขึ้นการเกิดโรคระบาดอาจเพิ่มขึ้น และจากการศึกษาแบบจำลองสภาพภูมิอากาศของประเทศไทย ในอีก 30 -80 ปีข้างหน้า พบว่า จำนวนวันร้อนที่สูงกว่า 33 องศาเซลเซียสจะมีมากขึ้นประมาณ 30-60 วันต่อปีจากปกติ 20 วันต่อปี ทั้งนี้ จังหวัดที่มีวันร้อนมากที่สุด คือ อุทัยธานี เนื่องจากมีพื้นที่อยู่ในหุบเขา รองลงมาคือ นครสวรรค์ ส่วนจังหวัดที่ไม่ได้รับผลกระทบจากการเปลี่ยนแปลงมากนัก คือ ขอนแก่น สกลนคร และชัยนาท สำหรับจำนวนวันเย็นที่มีอุณหภูมิต่ำกว่า 15 องศาเซลเซียสจะมี ประมาณ 30-40 วันต่อปีจากเดิมประมาณ 20-30 วันต่อปีเท่านั้น โดยจังหวัดที่อยู่บริเวณชายฝั่งทะเลตะวันตกจะมีจำนวนวันเย็นมากที่สุด ประเทศไทยควรหามาตรการรับมือ กับปัญหาการเปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพภูมิอากาศ ควรศึกษาสภาพความสมบูรณ์ของป่าไม้ การนำพืชไปปลูกให้เหมาะสมกับสภาพภูมิอากาศที่เปลี่ยนแปลง รวมทั้งต้องมีการจัดหาแหล่งน้ำ การดูแลสุขภาพและสาธารณสุขของประชาชน โดยเฉพาะการจัดการโรคและพาหะของโรคที่เกิดจากโลกร้อน ดร.อานนท์ กล่าว
เอลนีโญส่งผลทะเลไทย น้ำเย็นลงมีตะกอนขุ่นทำให้คัน นักวิชาการชี้ปรากฏการณ์เอลนีโญจากภาวะโลกร้อนส่งผลให้ธรรมชาติใต้ท้องทะเลอันดามันเปลี่ยนแปลง น้ำทะเลเป็นน้ำเย็นมีตะกอนขุ่น เผยนักท่องเที่ยวเริ่มย้ายจุดดำน้ำลึกจากอันดามันใต้ไปเหนือ เพราะดำน้ำแล้วมีอาการคันตามผิวหนังและปะการังอ่อนที่สวยงามเริ่มเหี่ยวเฉา ดร.ธรณ์ ธำรงค์นาวาสวัสดิ์ อาจารย์ภาควิชาวิทยาศาสตร์ทางทะเล คณะประมง มหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ เปิดเผยว่า จากภาวะโลกร้อนที่เกิดขึ้นทำให้เกิดหลายปรากฏการณ์ ที่เกี่ยวกับทะเลโดยตรงคือปรากฏการณ์เอลนีโญในเมืองไทยได้รับผลกระทบหลายครั้ง ที่ชัดเจนคือ 10 ปีที่ผ่านมา น้ำทะเลอันดามันเย็นลง ในช่วงเดือนธันวาคม - เมษายน และเกิดน้ำร้อนในอ่าวไทยในเดือนพฤษภาคม - กันยายน และปี 2550 นี้ ลักษณะคล้ายคลึงกัน คือในอันดามันน้ำเย็น มาจากน้ำที่อยู่ในทะเลลึกเคลื่อนที่เข้าสู่พื้นที่ใกล้ฝั่ง ซึ่งน้ำนอกจากเย็นแล้วยังขุ่นมีตะกอนจากทะเลลึก ซึ่งเดิมไม่เคยเข้ามาในเขตตื้น แต่มากับมวลน้ำเย็น และตะกอนนี้มีธาตุอาหารจำนวนมาก ทำให้แพลงก์ตอนที่อยู่ในเขตน้ำตื้นเจริญเติบโตอย่างรวดเร็ว นักท่องเที่ยวที่ไปว่ายน้ำหรือดำน้ำจะรู้สึกว่า น้ำเย็น น้ำขุ่นและคันยิบๆ เพราะแพลงก์ตอนบางตัวซึ่งมีพิษแต่ไม่อันตรายถึงชีวิตแต่ทำให้คัน นอกจากนี้ แพลงก์ตอนทำให้มีสัตว์น้ำขนาดใหญ่และสัตว์น้ำแปลกๆ ตามเข้ามา เช่น กระเบนราหู
