Audi TT ใหม่ยังคงมีดีไซน์คล้ายกับรุ่นปัจจุบัน แต่ทีมออกแบบได้เพิ่มรายละเอียดมากยิ่งขึ้น ด้วยคนสันที่มากกว่ารุ่นเดิมที่เน้นความโค้งมน ไฟหน้าถูกออกแบบใหม่เน้นความเหลี่ยมคม รับกับกระจังหน้าสีดำทรงสี่เหลี่ยมคางหมูอันโต พร้อมช่องดักอากาศแบบใหม่ด้านล่าง โลโก้สี่ห่วงของออดี้ถูกย้ายจากกระจังหน้ามาอยู่ที่บริเวณฝากระโปรงหน้าแทน

ตัวถังด้านนอกยังคงเน้นความสปอร์ตด้วยโป่งซุ้มล้อทั้ง 4 ข้าง เส้นสายช่วงไหล่ที่ลากยาวตั้งแต่ด้านหน้าจนถึงท้ายรถ ไฟท้ายที่เพิ่มรายละเอียดมากขึ้น พร้อมเปลี่ยนรูปแบบเส้นสายในไฟท้ายใหม่

Audi TT รุ่นคูเป้นั้น จะมาพร้อมเครื่องยนต์เบนซินเทอร์โบชาร์จขนาด 1.8 ลิตร ที่ให้กำลังสูงสุด 177 แรงม้า (BHP) และขนาด 2.0 ลิตร ที่ให้กำลังสูงสุด 217 (BHP) สามารถเลือกได้ทั้งเกียร์ธรรมดา 6 สปีด หรือ เกียร์อัตโนมัติแบบคลัชท์คู่ S-tronic 6 สปีด พร้อมปุ่มเปลี่ยนเกียร์ที่พวงมาลัย
นอกจากนั้นยังจะมีเวอร์ชั่น TTS ที่ใช้เครื่องยนต์ขนาด 2.0 ลิตร แต่เค้นกำลังสูงสุดถึง 296 แรงม้า (BHP) พร้อมระบบขับเคลื่อนสี่ล้อ และตามมาด้วยเวอร์ชั่นแรงสุด TT RS ที่ใช้เครื่องยนต์ขนาด 2.5 ลิตรเทอร์โบชาร์จ เรียกกำลังได้สูงสุดราว 360 แรงม้า (BHP)

บางประเทศในแถบยุโรปจะมีเครื่องยนต์เทอร์โบดีเซล ขนาด 2.0 ลิตร ที่ให้กำลังสูงสุด 177 แรงม้า (BHP) มาให้เป็นทางเลือกอีกด้วย

ส่วนเวอร์ชั่นเปิดหลังคา (Convertible) จะตามมาราวช่วงเดือนกันยายน ในงานปารีสมอเตอร์โชว์
