Grey's Anatomy Season 12
The twelfth season of Grey's Anatomy premiered on September 24, 2015.

Summary
The doctors find themselves simmering in a world of sexual politics. Bailey struggles with what it means to be a woman in charge of the hospital and her husband, while Maggie faces the challenges of dating a younger man and Amelia battles her own demons. Meanwhile, in the wake of a brutal attack, Meredith finds comfort and love in the most unexpected place, Callie and Arizona find themselves in a fight for their lives, and tensions run high when Amelia and Meredith come face to face with the doctor responsible for Derek's death.

Plots
After Richard and Catherine's wedding, Maggie and Amelia move along with Meredith and her kids to her former house.
Meredith starts to teach an anatomy class for new interns and residents and later is named Head of General Surgery.
Alex and Jo move to a loft. He plans a proposal and executes it, right when she decides she needs some time for herself as she feels he's not in her corner. He proposes her again, but she rejects him for unknown reasons.
Bailey becomes the new Chief of Surgery, and her husband Ben deals with the aftermath.
Callie has a new love interest, Penny Blake, one of the doctors who worked on Derek when he died. Meredith, Maggie, and Amelia throw a dinner party where Callie introduces her.
Penny transfers her surgical residency to Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital, causing tension between the attendings.
Owen and Amelia's relationship begins to develop.
Arizona gets a roommate, Andrew DeLuca, a new intern who was in a relationship with Maggie.
April returns from Jordan wanting to improve her marriage with Jackson; she discovers her second pregnancy before signing the divorce papers but continues forward with the divorce because she doesn't want Jackson to stay with her just for the baby.
Arizona later tells Jackson that April is pregnant. The divorced couple decides to co-parent peacefully.
Stephanie begins to move up in the hospital and her colleagues find out about her childhood disease. She falls in love with a MS patient, Kyle Diaz; they start a brief relationship, but he dies after a brain surgery.
Bailey hires Nathan Riggs, a colleague and friend of April's from the army. Riggs and Owen have a dark past involving Owen's MIA sister, Megan.
Meredith is brutally attacked by a patient and has a painful recovery process.
After several discussions, Meredith kicks Amelia out of the house and Amelia breaks her sobriety. During Meredith's recovery, she returns to AA meetings and comes back to the house after breaking up her relationship with Owen.
After being taught by Amelia and Meredith, Penny wins the prestigious Preminger Grant, which requires her to move to New York for one year. Callie decides to follow her with Sofia by her side, without Arizona's consent.
Afraid that Callie will take away her daugher, Arizona hires a lawyer. When they're unable to reach a compromise, the case goes to court and Arizona is awarded full custody. Unwilling to move to New York without Sofia, Callie decides to stay in Seattle and breaks up with Penny, who leaves the hospital for New York.
A drunk Jo reveals to Andrew that she's still married to a man who used to abuse her. She fled from him and can't divorce him without risking that he'll find her again, which is the reason she was forced to turn down Alex's proposals. Alex eventually wants to forgive Jo, only to find her in a compromising position with Andrew. Alex starts beating him, not allowing him to explain he was just trying to put Jo to bed.
Amelia and Owen come back, and after picturing a future together, she proposes marriage and he accepts. After some hesitation from Amelia, they get married.
After a hook-up with Meredith, Nathan seems to develop feelings for her. Meanwhile, Maggie has developed feelings for him and mistakingly thinks Nathan feels the same about her.


Grey's Anatomy Season 13
The thirteenth season of Grey's Anatomy premiered September 22, 2016.

Summary
Performing medical miracles on a daily basis makes the surgeons of Grey Sloan Memorial consider themselves a breed apart from mere mortals. However, what works in the O.R. doesn't always cut it in the "real world." And when the gloves and scrubs come off, they often find that fixing their own chaotic lives takes a lot more than neatly tied sutures.

After being on her own for some time, Meredith is beginning to explore the idea of a romance with Riggs. Unfortunately, Maggie desires him as well, which threatens to drive a bitter wedge between the sisters. At the same time, despite their differences, Jackson and April must come together when they are assigned a difficult case. Meanwhile, Alex faces the consequences of his vicious attack on DeLuca, Owen and Amelia's marriage implodes and a hospital-wide mutiny erupts when Bailey demotes Webber. Finally, Arizona may have found love again - but is she sleeping with the enemy?

Plots
Meredith slowly opens herself up to love again with Nathan while making sure Maggie doesn't get hurt.
The fall-out of Alex beating up Andrew and Alex finding about Jo's secret marriage.
Bailey's loyalties get tested when Alex faces felony charges and Catherine demands she hire an eduction consultant to overhaul the residency program when Leah Murphy returns to the hospital.
Richard feels betrayed by Bailey and Catherine when Eliza Minnick, the consultant, takes over his job, while the other attendings support him. The tension results in a civil war inside the hospital.
With Callie and Sofia in New York, Arizona is caught between Alex and Andrew and she develops a secret romantic relationship with Eliza Minnick.
Newlyweds Owen and Amelia have a fallout over having children.
Jackson and April move in together to co-parent Harriet despite not getting back together. April has to decide where her loyalties lie as she's presented with a job offer while Jackson seeks out his father and leans on April for support. He also bonds with Maggie while treating her mother.
Jo feels isolated after Alex's actions and the following trial and finds a friend in Andrew.
Stephanie buries herself in work to avoid grieving and happily welcomes the Minnick method, which gives residents a more prominent role in the OR.
Maggie deals with her crush on Nathan and her mother's disease while bonding with Jackson.
Ben feels caught between his attending friends and resident colleagues given their conflicting feelings about Minnick as he navigates through residency playing it safe.
Nathan pursues Meredith and tries to get to her to open herself up to love, drawing from his own experience.
Andrew bonds with Jo and develops feelings for her as he continues his internship.
A hospital fire and news about Megan throws everyone for a loop.

Plots
Bailey is forced to renovate Grey Sloan due to the fire.
Owen's sister Megan is back and Meredith performs an important surgery on her.
Teddy returns after Megan is found.
DeLuca's sister Carina arrives to do research on the female orgasm and quickly becomes intimate with Arizona.
A new bunch of interns come to the hospital.
April decides she needs to move out since she can't handle the situation between her and Jackson.
Jackson inherits millions of dollars after Harper Avery dies and struggles with possible feelings for Maggie after finding out that April thinks something's going on between the two of them.
Amelia has a 10 centimeter benign frontal lobe tumor that has been growing for the past 10 years. Since it has compromised her planning and decision making, she has to re-discover who she is after the tumor is removed.
Megan helps Owen re-evaluate his life, including his marriage.
Nathan reconnects with Megan and Meredith helps him realize that despite his feelings for her, Megan is his big love. The couple moves to Malibu with Megan's son.
Jo and Alex reconcile after the latter confesses about finding her husband. Jo later decides to file for divorce to end the control Paul still has over her, resulting in him showing up at the hospital to confront her.
Owen and Amelia separate after realizing that neither of them are happy.
Meredith is nominated for and wins a Harper Avery Award.
Ben decides to become a firefighter and joins the Seattle Fire Department's Station 19.
Stress catches up to Bailey and causes her to have a heart attack, which puts things in perspective for her.
The attendings are developing projects for the Grey Sloan Surgical Innovation Contest held by April.
Seattle firefighters Andy Herrera and Ben Warren appear at Grey Sloan after rescuing 2 young boys who were injured in an apartment fire.
Meredith and Jo meet with the owner of the patent they need for the Grey Sloan Surgical Innovation Contest.
Meredith tries to unveil details about Marie Cerone's history with her mother.
Jo and Alex get engaged.
Maggie and Jackson's relationship progresses, Jackson has a groundbreaking surgery to perform with his mother and Richard.
Bello, an intern and Andrew ex-lover comes to the Grey Sloan and they rekindle their romance. Later she moves to Zurich to avoid being deported by ICE.
Richard's sponsor, Olive Warner is admited in the hospital and dies, leaving Richard devastated.
After Jackson unknowingly waives an NDA stopping Rebecca Froy from telling her story, it becomes public that Harper Avery assaulted several women during his lifetime. Due to the scandal, the Harper Avery Foundation is dissolved and the Catherine Fox Foundation is formed in its place.
Owen decides to foster a kid and Amelia becomes the sponsor of the kid's mother.
April suffers an accident with Matthew. She survives, but quits the hospital to work at a free clinic.
Arizona goes to NY with Sofia and open the Robbins-Herman Center for Women's Health and reunites with Callie.
Jo and Alex get married.
Matthew and April get married.
Teddy returns to be the interim Chief and is expecting a baby.
