Thai name is the only MINE..

What makes a black belt unique; at the one end bore the name of its owner. Embroidered in Korean, yellow in color gives its nice contrast with black back ground.

Baring both English and Thai names they were asked which mane they'd preferred, both of the children answered with no hesitation; My mother is a Thai, my father is a Thai, I'm a proud Thai and the only name that is mine is Thai's.

Long names; even in Thai, it becomes even longer when translated into and using English alphabets. A tease came about, the same answer came up; it's mine, if a person or an organization does not care or has no will to learns to properly write or pronounces it they are not worth it to me.

Residing in this country at a relatively young age, thus the strong bound with where they came from, representing who they are is always proudly announced.

When considering up-rooting them; from farthest town of Northeast region to the suburb Bangkok and the City of Angle; Los Angeles shortly thereafter it was vastly concerned me. Nonetheless seeing both of them enjoying the full benefits of being in the US as Americans and yet harmoniously living the Thai way of life, which choice they have made for themselves, is a relieved.

At school as well as elsewhere, when name inquiring Thai was the only answer. Helping with pronunciation made them many friends, too.

สิ่งหนึ่งที่สายดำแตกต่างไปจากสายสี(ต่างๆ)คือจะมีชื่อผู้เป็นเจ้าของเป็นภาษาเกาหลีปักอยู่เหนือชื่อสถาบัน สีเหลืองของอักษรที่ปักตัดกับสีดำของสายทำให้น่ามองเป็นอย่างยิ่ง

เมื่อผู้จัดทำถามลูกๆของฉันว่าต้องการใช้ชื่อใด คำตอบแบบไม่ต้องคิดเหมือนทุกครั้งที่พวกเขาถูกถามเรื่องชื่อคือ แม่ฉันเป็นคนไทย ฉันมีพ่อเป็นคนไทย ฉันภูมิใจในความเป็นไทยและจะใช้ชื่อเดียวเท่านั้นคือชื่อแบบไทยๆ

เฉกเช่นคนไทยหลายคนลูกของฉันมีชื่อตัวและชื่อสกุลที่ยาว เมื่อผู้จัดทำเย้ากลับมาว่ามันเป็นชื่อที่ยาว(มาก)พื้นที่อาจจะไม่พอเขียนพวกเขาบอกว่า ใช่แล้วมันยาว(มาก)และมันคือชื่อของฉัน ฉันคิดว่าถ้าใครคนใดหรือหน่วยงานใดๆไม่ใส่ใจพอที่จะออกเสียงหรือเขียนให้ถูกต้องฉันคิดว่าเขาเหล่านั้นไม่ควรค่าสำหรับฉัน

ลูกๆของฉันใด้มาซึ่งสถานะและย้ายถิ่นฐานมาที่นี่แต่เยาว์วัยถึงกระนั้นการมาใช้ชีวิตที่นี่ไม่มีผลต่อความผูกพันธ์ของพวกเขาที่มีต่อแผ่นดินเกิด เขาเป็นใคร มีที่มาจากแห่งใดเป็นสิ่งหนึ่งที่พวกเขาแสดงออกด้วยความภาคภูมิใจเสมอ

ในยามที่ฉันต้องตัดสินใจย้ายพวกเขามาจากมุมเล็กๆที่ห่างใกลแห่งหนึ่งในภาคอิสานเข้ามาสู่ชานเมืองกรุงเทพฯและสู่Los Angelesหลังจากนั้นไม่นานมันนำมาซึ่งความวิตกกำลังให้กับฉันเป็นอันมาก การใด้เห็นเขาทั้งคู่เป็นสุขกับผลประโยชน์ทั้งมวลของการเป็นอเมริกันซิติเซ่น ณ ประเทศนี้ขณะเดียวกันเลือกที่จะดำรงค์วิถีไทยตามความพอใจของเขาทำให้ฉันคลายความวิตกไปใด้

ไม่ว่าจะเป็นที่โรงเรียนหรือสถานที่ใดๆก็ตาม เมื่อผู้คนสอบถามพวกเขาเรื่องชื่อพวกเขาไม่เคยรีรอที่จะบอกชื่อไทยและเป็นชื่อเดียวที่พวกเขาให้ผู้คนรับรู้ หลายครั้งหลายคราวการช่วยผู้ถามในการออกเสียงหรือเขียนชื่อทำให้พวกเขาใด้เพื่อนเพิ่มขึ้นหลายคนทีเดียว
