Cheesy ham vegetable muffins
It was another rainy day in guelph and i did not want to go out at all. I spent sometimes in the afternoon to made this muffins. My daughter was napping while i was making the muffins, so it was great. ![]() I got this recipie from the book " Better home and garden old fashioned home baking" The original recipies is cheesy bacon and veggetable muffins. I looked in my refigarator, only ham that i had. So i came up with this muffins "Cheesy ham and veggie muffins. I did add more sugar in the recipie and cooked the onion with ham before i fold them in a mixture. Here is the recipies addjusted from the original. 2 and 3/2 cups all purpose flour 6 tbsp sugar (the original was 4 tbsp) 4 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp salt 2 beaten eggs 1 cup milk 1/3 cup corn oil 300 g ham chopped 2 medium onions 1/3 cup green onion and cheese as prefered ![]() ![]() Here is how to make it: 1. Line muffins cups with paper bake cups. Set muffins cups aside 2. In a pan, stir finely chopped onion with 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil for 4-5 minutes, then add finely chopped ham and cook for another 4 minutes. Set aside 3. In a medium bowl stir together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. 4. In another bowl combine the egg, milk, cooking oil. 5. Add the egg mixture all at once to the dry mixture. Stir just till moistened. Fold in onion-ham, and green onion. 6. Spoon half of the batter into the prepared muffin cups. Place the cheese in the center of each muffin, then add the remaining of batter. Bake in 400 F oven about 20 minutes. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() My opinion about this recipies: Delicious! yep it is very delicious. Last monday, I went for a walk with my friend and his son. We walked around Guelph downtown. On the way, we stopped at the coffe shop, my daughter wanted a muffins and milk, green tea for my friend and nothing for me (cuz i was sure that i would had the left over from my daughter Until today i had time to made it my banana muffins (absolute bigginer virson 2 and a half cup of all-purpose flour 1 tbsp baking power 1 tsp baking soda 10 Tbsp sugar (the original was 6 tbsp) 1 cup milk and 1 tsp vanila 1/4 cup corn oil 3 bananas ![]() Here is how to make it: 1. Preheat the oven to 350 F. Stand 13 paper liners in a muffin pan. Sift the flour, baking power and the baking soda into a large bowl. Stir in sugar. Mix the milk, eggs, corn oil and vanila in a bowl and whisk lightly. Add to the flour mixed and fold together lightly. 2. Fold the mash banaha, then divide the mixture among the muffin liners. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the muffins are well risen and golder. 3. Remove the warm muffins from the pan; cool slightly on a wire rack ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() My opinion about this recipie: It was delicious when compared with the muffins i bought from the coffee shop last monday because it wasn't too sweet. It was solfed and moisted muffins, but i still dreaming of the better taste, something more creamy. If you have time, try it out and tell me how you like it. It was a hurry day for me, my 2 years old daughter woke up late. She had her breakfast around 9 a.m. and finished almost 10 a.m. She just ate slow and played with her foods. I was invited for lunch at my friend place. It was a get together as usual. I offered to bring some dessert. Oh no!! lunch at noon and i had 2 hrs left for myself to get ready and made dessert. What was an easy quick thing! to made!!, I thought! Well, I came up with this recipies from the book "Good house keeping Great baking" The Creamy orange jam-filled scones was modified from 3 recipies, cream scones, orange scone, and jam-filled scones. Here are all the ingredients: 2 cups all-purpose flour 2 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp salt 1/4 cup sugar 4 tbsp cold butter, cut up 1 large egg 1 orange and 4 tbsp of raspberry jam 2/3 cup whipping cream ![]() Here is how to make it: 1. Prehear oven 400 F. In a bowl stir together flour;baking power; salt; and sugar. With pastry blender cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. 2. Stir egg; freshly grated prange peel and whipping cream, into flour mixture just untill dough hold together 3. Transfer dough to ungreased large cookie sheet. With lightly floured hands,devide dough in half, shape 1 dough half into asize as needed spread with jam. Place remaning dough on top of jam. Cut into wedges but notcut throught jam. 4. Bake 20 minutes or until golden. Separate scones and serve warm or transfer to wire rack to cool. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() My opinion about this recipe: I am not a big fan of scones. however, the taste was ok for me and my daughter.
