วง "Kirinji" ก่อตั้งโดยสองพี่น้องโฮริโกเมะ (ทาคากิและยาสึยูกิ) เมื่อปี 1996
เริ่มดังในวงกว้างกับเพลง "エイリアンズ  (Aliens)" จากอัลบั้มชุดที่ 3 ที่มีชื่ออัลบั้มว่า "3" (ปี 2000)

ในปี 2013 หลังจากออกอัลบั้มมา 10 ชุด "ยาสึยูกิ" ลาออกไปเป็นศิลปินเดี่ยว
