เรื่องเศร้าๆ ของเหมียวๆ ด็กหญิงตัวน้อยๆ คนหนึ่ง มีนามว่า ตาหวาน อาศัยอยู่ใต้ชายคาของกรุงเทพฯ ท่ามกลางความสับสนวุ่นวายของคนเมืองกรุง ที่ฝักใฝ่ทำมาหากินกัน และที่นั่นยังมีแมวสาวรุ่นตัวหนึ่ง ขนสีขาว และสีเหลืองสลับกันไป ที่ไม่มีคนสนใจดูแล เจ้าเหมียวน้อยตัวนี้อาศัยอยู่ใกล้ๆ ตู้ซักเสื้อผ้าหยอดเหรียญ  เกือบทุกวันตาหวานจะคอยเล่นกับเจ้าเหมียวน้อยแล้วค่อยไปทำกิจกรรมอื่นๆ ประจำวัน ทุกวันๆ เจ้าเหมียวจะค่อยๆ สนิทกับตาหวานขึ้นทีละนิด..... ถ้าตาหวานสังเกตให้ดีๆ จะเห็นว่าเจ้าเหมียวมีเด็กๆ อยู่ในท้องใกล้จะคลอดแล้วนั่นเอง มีอยู่ช่วงหนึ่งที่ตาหวานไม่ได้เห็นเจ้าเหมียวเลย เนื่องจากว่าได้ถึงเวลาคลอดลูกแล้ว และได้ย้ายที่อยู่อาศัยใหม่เพื่อ ให้ลูกๆ ได้ปลอดภัยจากผู้คน และสัตว์ที่จะปองร้าย ไม่ว่าจะเป็นเหมียวๆ ด้วยกันเอง หรือว่าจะเป็นน้องหมาก็ตาม หรือแม้แต่รถที่วิ่งอยู่ตามซอยเล็กๆ ถ้าไม่ระวังมีหวังเหยียบย่ำเอาลูกๆ ของเจ้าเหมียวตายไปตามๆ กัน จากนั้นไม่กี่วันหลังจากที่ตาหวานเฝ้าคอยที่จะเจอเจ้าเหมียวอีกครั้ง ก็ได้เจอกันพร้อมกับลูกๆ ทั้ง 3 ตัว ดูซิ...น่ารักกันทั้งนั้นเลย 2 ตัวสีคล้ายๆ กับแม่ แต่ดูซิ....เจ้าตัวเล็กน่าสงสารสีดำ เทา และเหลืองสลับไปมา ช่างตัวเล็กน่าสงสารจับใจตาหวานซะเหลือเกิน เนื่องจากเห็นว่าเจ้าเหมียวที่ต้องคอยให้นมลูกๆ ทั้ง 3 ตัวต้องผลิตน้ำนมให้ลูกกิน ตาหวานจึงเริ่มซื้ออาหารสัตว์ และนมสดมาบำรุง เจ้าเหมียวและลูกๆ ทั้ง 3 ตัว จากเมื่อก่อนนั้นตาหวานจะทำกับข้าว ให้แก่เจ้าเหมียวอยู่บ่อยๆ เจ้าเหมียวทั้งรักใคร่ในตัวตาหวาน เวลาเห็นตาหวานเดินไปใกล้จะคอยเข้ามาถูตัว มาเล่น มาทักทาย  และแล้วคืนนั้นเองตาหวานเริ่มผิดสังเกตว่า เอ๊ะ!! .... เจ้าเหมียวตัวน้อยๆ ทั้ง 3 ตัวนั้นหายไปไหนไม่ออกมาเล่นเลย หรือว่าหลับอยู่ใต้เครื่องซักผ้าเหมือนเดิม เวลาผ่านไปประมาณ 2 ชั่วโมงเศษๆ ก็ยังไม่เห็นมีวี่แววว่าจะโผล่ออกมาให้ตาหวานได้เล่นด้วย ตาหวานจึงเดินไปใกล้ๆ เครื่องซักผ้าและก้มหน้าลงไปดูที่ใต้เครื่องซักผ้า แต่ไม่มีซักตัว ถึงเวลาที่แม่เหมียวจะให้นมกับลูกๆ แล้ว จึงเดินไปร้องเรียก ลูกๆ จากเริ่มแรกที่ร้องอย่างแผ่วเบา เจ้าเหมียวเริ่มเพิ่มเสียงดังขึ้นและถี่ขึ้น ไม่มีวี่แววว่าจะมีเด็กๆ ออกมากินนมเลยซักตัว แม่เหมียวเริ่มถอดใจมาซบลงที่เท้าของตาหวาน ด้วยความเศร้าสดใจ ตาหวานก็ได้แต่ลูบไล้ปลอบประโลมแม่เหมียว อ่านเพิ่มเติมที่เว็บไซต์ของตาหวานนะคะ มีเรื่องราวอีกเยอะค่ะ ที่ links ขวามือค่ะ New Website

 เรื่องเศร้าจริงๆ ครับ บ้านผมก็มีแมวมาออกลูกทิ้งไว้สามตัวเหมือนกันครับ อยู่กันไป เลี้ยงกันไป เหลืออยู่ตัวเดียว อีกสองตัวไม่รู้หนีไปเล่นที่ไหนแล้วก็หายไปเลย เร็วๆ นี้ ตัวแม่ซึ่งไปๆ มาๆ บ้านผมพาลูกแมวตัวใหม่กลับมาให้เลี้ยงอีก หน้าตาเหมือนตัวที่อยู่บ้านผมทุกวันนี้เปี๊ยบเลย สงสัยแม่มันคงคิดว่าอยู่ที่นี่แล้วสบายดีมั้งครับก็เลยพาลูกมาให้เลี้ยงอีก ทุกวันนี้เวลาเจ้าตัวโตหายไปสักสองสามวัน แม่ผมก็จะเริ่มกระวนกระวายว่ามันหายไปไหน กลายเป็นสมาชิกของบ้านไปซะงั้น แต่พอมันเที่ยวจนพอใจหรือหิวโซ มันก็จะกลับมาบ้านทุกที โดย: คนทับแก้ว
