Cinnamon-rumped Trogon
มีรายงานประปราย ภาพนกขุนแผนข้างบนถ่ายโดยคุณสุรชัย รุ่งคุณากร และคุณฟิลิป ดี ราวด์ ได้ให้ข้อสังเกตไว้ดังนี้ครับ
"This trogon is clearly a juvenile, since it is in very fresh plumage. It's either Scarlet-rumped or Cinnomon-rumped. I think it is Scarlet-rumped because the rufous barring on the wing coverts is slightly broader than the black barring. This character is given in Wells (1999) The Birds of the Thai-Malay Peninsula. Another feature that applies to females (not sure about juveniles, though) is that female Cinnamon-rumped have black-tipped central tail-feathers. So on this feature too, the bird would fit Scarlet-rumped. Hope this helps.

"Hello again, Surachai.
I sent your trogon picture to David Wells and he is of the opinion that it was a Cinnamon-rumped, rather thsn Scarlet-rumped. He said "No; I think Cinnamon-rumped. The bill is quite fat, and black/cinnamon bars on wing-coverts are about equal width."
So I hope this helps. I am not really sure as I don't know either species well enough to say, buit David should be right, I suppose.
