Would-be students who make a Tier 4 application from inside the United Kingdom before February 2010 will only need to show that they have the money needed on the day when they apply. They must still provide the correct documents to support their application.

จะเห็นว่า นักเรียนสามารถมีเงินในบัญชี วันเดียวก่อนต่อวีซ่าก็ได้ค่ะ แต่ถ้ามีเป็นเดือนมันก็เป็นผลดีอะคะ เพราะมีหลายกระแสบอกว่า ต้องมีย้อนหลังสามเดือนบ้าง เดือนนึงบ้าง บางเอเจนซี บอกต้องมีถึง 9200 (Inner London) and 5400 (Outside London) แต่ความเป็นจริงมันไม่ต้องถึงขนาดนั้นอะคะ จะหาจากไหนมาคุณเป็นแค่นักเรียน ไม่ได้มาทำงาน เพราะถ้าคุณมาเรียนที่อังกฤษ คอรส์ระยะเวลา 6 เดือนขึ้นไป แล้วต่อวีซ่า คุณมีเงินในบัญชี แค่ 1600 + fees ที่ยังค้างจ่าย ก็พอค่ะ ในกรณีที่ต้องมี 9200 or 5400 ก็คือ คุณมาเรียนคอรส์ระยะสั้น 3 เดือน หรือกี่เดือนก็ตาม แต่ไม่ถึง 6 เดือนอะคะ

สำหรับ นักเรียนที่ต่อวีซ่า Outside UK
From 1 October 2009, would-be students applying from outside the United Kingdom must show that they have held the required money for a 28-day period ending no more than one month before the date of their application.

เพราะฉะนั้นถ้าคุณกลับไปต่อที่ไทย คุณต้องมีอย่างน้อย 28 วันค่ะ

How much are the maintenance fees for General Students (also known as adult
students)?

General Students on courses of nine months’ duration or less will be required to provide evidence of sufficient funds to cover the full costs of their course fees, plus £800 (Inner London) or £600 (outer London or anywhere else in the UK) per month for each month of the course up to a maximum of nine months;

ในกรณีที่ลงเรียนคอรส์ไม่เกิน 9 เดือน ก็คิดตาม

Students on courses of more than nine months’ duration will be required to evidence sufficient funds to pay the first year of fees only, plus £7,200 (London) or £5,400 (outside London) to cover the costs of a typical academic year in the UK (i.e. nine months);

A lower maintenance requirement has been agreed for those students seeking to extend their leave (either in or out of the country) in the student category. You may need to show a lower amount of money for your living costs if:

* you have done a course of study in the United Kingdom in the last four months before you apply, or you are currently studying and need more time to finish your course;
* that course was six months or more in length; and
* you want to apply for permission to stay for a further period as an adult student

You cannot apply showing the lower amount of money if you:

* finished your course more than four months ago; or
* the course you finished was less than six months long.

update สำหรับคนที่ต่อวีซ่า ตั้งแต่เดือน กุมภาเป็นต้นไป ยังไงก็ต้องมี ย้อนหลัง 28 วันนะคะ

สำหรับเรื่อง visa letter คงไม่ต้องเขียนแล้วอะคะ เฮ้อ โฮมออฟฟิศ ขยันเปลี่ยนกฎจริงๆๆ

Update ในเรื่องของ visa letter นะคะ หลังวันที่ 22 กุมภาพันธ์เป็นต้นไป ทาง home office ยกเลิกระบบ visa letter แล้วนะคะ แต่จะเปลี่ยนเป็นระบบ CAS แทน ค่ะ ด้วยเหตุนี้จึงทำให้หลายๆโรงเรียนในลอนดอน ถูกถอด sponsor license อะคะ เพราะเค้าต้องเปลี่ยนระบบการเช็ค attendant ใหม่ เปลี่ยนเป็นใช้ CAS แทน เพื่อนที่ว่าจะได้สะดวก รวดเร็วกับการขอวีซ่ามากขึ้นอะคะ

Changes to student applications from next month

From 22 February 2010, any student who applies by post or at one of our public enquiry offices, to study in the UK under Tier 4 of the points-based system must possess a confirmation of acceptance for studies (CAS) from their prospective sponsor.
You will not be able to apply under Tier 4 using a visa letter from that date, even if the visa letter was issued before 22 February 2010.
Until 21 February 2010, you can continue to apply under Tier 4 using a visa letter, even if your course of study will start after 22 February 2010.
