POSITION: Gift Shop Sales Associate
EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Exempt Contract (6 Month)
REPORTS TO: Gift Shop Manager
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Sales Associate will promote our high quality retailing standards, continuously driving maximum sales results and superior quality customer service.

BASIC SALARY/COMMISSION
Your pay is divided into two parts.You will earn $500 per month base salary plus an average of $500 per month in commission.
Commission does vary from ship to ship, depending on the size of the vessel and the itinerary.
The total monthly salary plus commission is approximately $1000 per month.
However, keep in mind, these figures are averages. It can be more. It can be less.
Its up to you to use your sales talent to increase your commissions and maximize your earnings potential.
COMMISSIONS
Commissions are calculated and paid at the end of each voyage by the Gift Shop Manager using the Commission
Form.The calculation is to be made using the chart below.

ท่านจะได้รับเงินเดือน 500 เหรียญสหรัฐ ฯ และ ค่าคอมมิชชั่น อีกประมาณ 500 เหรียญสหรัฐ ซึ่งจะมากน้อยขึ้นอยุ่กับยอดขายของท่าน (1.25-1.50 % ของยอดขาย )
DO I RECEIVE MEDICAL INSURANCE? ได้รับประกันสุขภาพ Medical insurance is provided for all employees while they are signed-on the vessel. This insurance is
not in effective when employees sign-off the vessel for vacation or work break. (Employees in transit
from one vessel to another are covered).
Items not covered by insurance for our shipboard employees include:
Eyeglasses or examinations unless they are work related/injury.
Dental or periodontal work related illness, extractions, or accident related cases.
Pregnancy.
Injuries occurring while violating the Starboard Rules and Regulations.
Treatment for pre-existing conditions.
Any treatment for examinations, which for any reason do not have shore-side referral for the
ships doctor.
Any illness or injury incurred while employee is signed off the ship.
HOW LONG IS MY EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT? สัญญา 6 เดือน Standard Starboard contracts are for six months. On successful completion of the six months contact you will
receive a return ticket home and your $500 deposit back when you are given your final pay from the Shop
Manager.

These privileges vary from cruise line to cruise line. Most lines require a minimum of six months service
for eligibility. All such cruises are on a space available basis and are at the discretion of the cruise line.

Yes, in most major ports of call you will find a seamans center that provides the convenience of postal services for your personal needs.
CAN I CALL HOME? สามารถโทรกลับบ้านได้ Yes, crew calling stations are easy accessible in most major ports and do offer discounted crew rates for
all telephone calls.
IS THERE A GYM ON BOARD? บางสายเดินเรือมีบริการฟิตเนสให้พนักงาน Most major cruise lines offer crew facilities. Some also allow staff members to use passenger facilities
within restricted time frames.
WILL I BE ALLOWED IN PASSENGER AREAS TO WATCH ON BOARD
ENTERTAINMENT PRODUCTIONS FOR EXAMPLE? บางสายเดินเรือ พนักงานสามารถเข้าพื้นที่ของลูกค้าได้
This is dependent on the policy of each particular cruise line. Most offer passenger area privileges,
however on some cruise lines, staff and crew are restricted to crew areas during non-work periods.
DO I RECEIVE A UNIFORM ALLOWANCE? ได้รับสวัสดิการเครื่องแบบ ยกเว้นรองเท้า Starboard supplies all shop employees with uniforms, except shoes at the beginning of the first contract.
