6.Interrogative Adverbs เป็นกริยาวิเศษณ์นำในประโยคคำถาม ได้แก่คำดังต่อไปนี้ why, where, how, when เช่น

Why are you so late? ทำไมคุณสายจัง
Where is my passport? หนังสือเดินทางฉันอยู่ไหน
How much is that coat? เสื้อโค้ตตัวนั้นราคาเท่าไร
When does the train arrive? รถไฟมาถึงเมื่อไร
หมายเหตุ how สามารถใช้ได้ 4 วิธี

1. ในความหมาย 'ทำอย่างไร ( in what way)?':

How did you make this sauce? คุณทำซอสนี้อย่างไร
How do you start the car? คุณติดเครื่องรถยนต์อย่างไร

2. ใช้กับ adjectives:

How tall are you? คุณสูงเท่าไร
How old is your house? บ้านคุณเก่าแค่ไหน

3. ใช้กับ much และ many:

How much are these tomatoes? มันฝรั่งนี้ราคาเท่าไร
How many people are coming to the party? จะมีคนมางานปาร์ตี้กี่คน

4. ใช้กับ adverbsตัวอื่นๆ :

How quickly can you read this? คุณอ่านนี่ได้เร็วแค่ไหน
How often do you go to London? คุณไปลอนดอนบ่อยแค่ไหน

7. Relative Adverbs เป็นคำกริยาวิเศษณ์นำหน้า relative clause ได้แก่คำ when, where, why แทนคำ preposition + which

I remember the day when we first met . ฉันจำวันที่เราพบกันครั้งแรกได้ ( when = preposition on + which )

That's the restaurant where we had dinner last night.
นั่นคือภัตราคารที่เรามาทานอาหารเ้ย็นกันเมื่อวานนี้ ( where= preposition at/in + which)

The reason why he refused is unconvincing.
เหตุผลที่เขาปฏิเสธนั้นไม่น่าเชื่อถือเลย ( why= preposition for + which )
