Miss Intercontinental Contestants visit Berlin
Candidates in The Bus Today it was a sunny day making it perfect for sightseeing. It is not easy to move 71 contestants around a city but the Miss Intercontinental organization did a good job. All the way during the tour the director Detlef Tursies spoke in english and spanish explaining everything that was around us. First we passed by the Charlottenburg Palace then by the Victory Collumn. All the girls were speaking different languages and having a great time when we arrived at the Berlin Dungeon. It is like a Disney attraction with lots of scary moments, and as you can imagine, the screams were loud. The loved it. After that, we headed to the Christmas Market, a charming place with different tents selling german art craft, Christmas ornaments and delicious foods. We all stopped at a cafe to have a hot chocolate with the support of two secutiry men: Ally and Willy (worshipped by the girls) The girls wanted to go shopping so the next stop was a cool Berlin store called Ampelmann. Miss Intercontinental contestants were welcomed with much enthusiasm and were offered orange juice and sparkling wine. The chaperones were always counting the girls to make sure no one was left behind. At last, passing by the Holocaust Memorial, we arrived at the final destination: The Brandenburg Gate where major historical events took place. Right now the contestants are having their first round of interview with the judges. Later tonight everyone is going out to have dinner at the best steak house in Berlin. Thats it for now folks!
