เวลาจะลง Driver Modem ไม่ว่าจะเป็น USB โมเดม หรือ โทรศัพท์มือถือ ที่เจอกับตัวเองคือ Nokia

Driver เราก็มีครบจากการลง Nokia PC Suit แต่ ลงไม่ผ่านสักทีมันต้องขึ้นหน้าจอว่า "Windows was unable to install the modem"

สาเหตุมีอยู่ 2 อย่าง

1. ใช้ XP SP1 -SP2 หรือ 

2. Register หาย อาจเป็นเพราะมีการถอนการติดตั้งโมเดม ไปก่อนหน้านั้น หรือใช้ Windows ที่โมดิไฟมา

วิธีแก้ มี 2 วิธีใดวิธีหนึ่งแล้วแต่สาเหตุ

ถ้าเป็นแบบแรกไปเพิ่ม Key ใน Register โดยใช้คำสั่ง Regedit

1. Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click OK.
2. Locate and then click the following registry subkey:
   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetServicesModem
3. On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click DWORD Value.
4. Type ErrorControl, and then press ENTER.
5. On the Edit menu, click Modify.
6. Type 0, and then click OK.
7. On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click String Value.
8. Type Group, and then press ENTER.
9. On the Edit menu, click Modify.
10. Type Extended base, and then click OK.
11. On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click DWORD Value.
12. Type Start, and then press ENTER.
13. On the Edit menu, click Modify.
14. Type 3, and then click OK.
15. On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click DWORD Value.
16. Type Tag, and then press ENTER.
17. On the Edit menu, click Modify.
18. Type 4, and then click OK.
19. On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click DWORD Value.
20. Type Type, and then press ENTER.
21. On the Edit menu, click Modify.
22. Type 1, and then click OK.
23. Quit Registy Editor.
24. Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click OK.
25. Locate and then click the following registry subkey:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetServicesModem
26. On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click DWORD Value.
27. Type ErrorControl, and then press ENTER.
28. On the Edit menu, click Modify.
29. Type 0, and then click OK.
30. On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click String Value.
31. Type Group, and then press ENTER.
32. On the Edit menu, click Modify.
33. Type Extended base, and then click OK.
34. On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click DWORD Value.
35. Type Start, and then press ENTER.
36. On the Edit menu, click Modify.
37. Type 3, and then click OK.
38. On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click DWORD Value.
39. Type Tag, and then press ENTER.
40. On the Edit menu, click Modify.
41. Type 4, and then click OK.
42. On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click DWORD Value.
43. Type Type, and then press ENTER.
44. On the Edit menu, click Modify.
45. Type 1, and then click OK.
46. Quit Registy Editor.

หรือจะโหลดไฟล์นี้ Download แล้วไป Merge เอานะครับ

วิธีแก้ที่ 2 สำหรับสาเหตุข้อที่ 2

เนื่องจากคุณไม่มี File ชื่อ MDMCPQ.INF อยู่ที่ C:windowsinf

ดังนั้นต้องไปหาไฟล์นี้จากเครื่องที่มีมาใส่ หรือหาใน Google ก็ได้

หรือ Download ที่นี่ MDMCPQ.INF
