Review กางเกงใน Andrew Christain
Comfirm... It's fun to try out bulge-enhancing underwear. Over the years, several different companies have attempted to create underwear that takes the package you have and makes it something more. To me, that's a fun idea, and over the years, we've tried several products, some that have been a successful and some that haven't met the grade. I've been playing around with the red version of the Andrew Christian Show It Brief for a few weeks, wearing it throughout the day and then running it through the wash for another wear. My first impression was significant, and it was good. Let me give you a little history. When Andrew Christian first hit the scene with their men's underwear, I tried several pairs of their underwear, and I personally loved the style and look of them, but I didn't like their feel. I found them tight and constricting, and I thought the fabric was uncomfortable. On top of that, every pair they produced had a strap-style bulge enhancement system, and I was never really into the straps. I considered just cutting out the straps for a more comfortable fit, but the tightness and the rough fabric led me to believe that wouldn't make them bettter. I really wanted to like their underwear, but it just didn't work out.
Back to the current day, I love the fabric and feel of the Show It Brief. Andrew Christian underwear is a whole other creature than it was back in the day. The cut is right, the fabric is soft, and the styling is as good as it always was. This particular brief is made out of 90% cotton and 10% elastane, and it is soft and plush with a comfortable give that isn't as constricting as the old Andrew Christian styles. The Andrew Christian Show It Brief just fits right, and it looks right, too. This particular version has a red pouch and grey all around with red piping and stitching all around, plus an Andrew Christian branded logo. And the brief has a great low-rise cut to it that slides just right at the hip bones with a light dip across the middle. It's exactly what I like a brief to feel and look like with a perfect combo of cut, fabric and feel. But does it enhance? Oh, yes. It has a pouch inside the red pouch area into which you can place your package, whether just your cock or your penis and balls together. The cut of the pouch is a little high for my preference, but in doing so, it pulls your junk up and pushes it out at the same time. It makes everything look fuller and more substantial, and it works perfectly. I'm not a big guy or small guy -- I'm nice and average, and if you read all the studies, I'm above average, but I don't have anything that would make you gasp aloud. But these briefs do a good job of creating some bulk down there with the set I've been endowed with.
I rarely take photos of myself, but I've included here a series of photos that show me in these briefs with first nothing in the pouch (above), then just my cock in the pouch (below), and then finally both cock and balls (at the bottom). You can see an obviousl difference between these photos. You'll have to excuse the quality of the photos -- these were taken with my Blackberry Curve, but you get the idea. As you can see, though, the unenhanced version is nothing crazy. In fact, the extra fabric from the "pouch in the pouch" obscures everything. With just my penis in the pouch just below, there's plenty of bulge to be found, but when you put everything in, as you can see in the third photo below, there's significant enhancing in play. The only downside of these briefs is that, at least for me, I don't recommend them for a long-term wear. When I wear these all day, they start to rub down underneath my sack. The first time I wore them, I found the rubbing annoying, and about halfway through the day, I had to pull my junk out of the pouch. I claim some responsibility here, though, because the way it felt is like something got twisted in there, causing the discomfort. The second time I wore these all day, things were much better. By the end of the day, I was still done with the stretching and rubbing on the back of my scrotum and pulled everything out at the end of my workday. The "pouch in the pouch" of this brief is much better than some I've worn in the past that were cut higher, but this one is still cut a little high for my preference. I would like to believe that if it was cut just a little lower so it doesn't pull your package so high, it might be just a little more comfortable. Maybe I'm sensitive down there, but I will add that the pull of the pouch on your junk as it lifts and pushes has a nice sexy feel to it. It's sporty in look, sexy in cut, and has plush fabric. It's much better than the old AC, so much that I consider it a new ballgame for Andrew Christian. I like it. The only thing is that it hurts my ballsack if I wear it all day long in "bulge enhance" mode.

I was able to try out another pair of the Show It 2.0 briefs in the red/gray color combinations and my issues with the leg-bands and back seat fit did not come up with that brief. I have adjusted this review accordingly with the assumption that the blue fabric was the culprit. When Andrew Christian underwear was initially launched, virtually all of their underwear items included what was called "Show It" technology which was a snap-based version of the C-In2 sling that operated like a cock-ring to lift your package up and out to give a more pronounced visual impact. After the first production run of underwear finished the Show It strap was eliminated from all Andrew Christian underwear. You can still find some older inventories of stores that include the versions of briefs, jocks and trunks that include the lifting mechanism. Since the removal of the Show It strap, Andrew Christian has introduced the Flashback butt lifting technology however the enhancement for the front side has been left out of the mix. In the spring of '09 Andrew Christian finally released a new enhancement underwear line titled: Show It 2.0 which is currently available in low rise brief and trunk cut (jock style to come to market soon as well as swimwear) in a variety of two-tone color combinations. Although titled "2.0" these briefs are nothing like the original Show It strap technology and instead take a page from the AussieBum Wonderjock by including a

The design of this new lifting brief is a hybrid between the Wonderjock "pocket" and a fabric-panel c-ring as it has a "U"-shaped opening in an interior panel that you pull your package through which then resides inside the pouch for an enhancing effect. The fabric for this new line is a blend of 90% cotton and 10% spandex which has a medium weight that is durable although the navy blue version doesn't seem to be as soft or provide as much stretch as the other fabrics.
I purchased my brief in a medium which seemed to fit true-to-size with the right proportions on the waist and leg-bands and a full-coverage back. The waistband is the new "anti muffin-top" design from Andrew Christian which basically means it's a very smooth and stretchable 1 1/4" tall exposed microfiber-elastic that provides suitable tension on your waist but doesn't dig in as much as some other waistbands. On the right-front of the brief you'll find a small red woven logo tag which measures 5/8" wide and 3/4" tall. On the interior-back of the waistband you'll find the full Andrew Christian logo patch which measures just shy of 1 3/4" wide by 1 1/8" tall. Right underneath the logo patch is the standard fabric and wash/care information on a paper tag that measures 1" wide by 1 1/4" tall. As mentioned previously in this review the back of this brief is full coverage and you'll find a contrast-color center seam running down the center which is meant to provide a body-hugging fit and does a nice job of providing some contouring without causing excessive fabric to go inbetween your cheeks. The blue/navy version seems to have an issue with the fabric as there's something about the thickness of the seam or the stitching that doesn't create nice clean lines and induces some wrinkling of the fabric. The leg-bands are contrast-color fully covered 1/2" elastic but for some reason on the blue/navy version of the brief the elastic was cut with almost no tension leading to some significant gaping on the back. My alternate version wearing the red/gray combination was much better on the leg-bands so I'm assuming this may be either a manufacturing issue or a problem with the fabric consistency.
The front of this brief is a single-layer pouch that is engineered well for a comfortable wearing experience even while using the Show It mechanism on the interior side. The engineering of the pocket is more complex than the AussieBum Wonderjock and I would say a bit more comfortable for all-day wear. You will gain some noticeable enhancement from the lifting pocket although keep in mind that because of the slightly more complex design it isn't really possible to wear these briefs without using the interior pocket.
Fit: | A | Everything in the front of this brief fits very nicely with my compliments to Andrew Christian Underwear for not just simply copying the AussieBum Wonderjock but taking it up a level in engineering. Originally I had a lower score of a "B" grade due to the odd fit on the backside with the slightly unusual back-seam construction and the confusing lack of proper tension on the leg-bands. My re-try with the red/gray version seems to have remedied that issue so I recommend going with that color combination. It seems with my trial of another brief I can say this might have been an unusual situation with the blue brief which resulted with a fit in the back that was a bit awkward in my personal experience. I really like the waistband construction and material which really helps the waist-fit. | Pouch Fit | | Design: | A+ | I give Andrew Christian a huge amount of credit for putting in a lot of additional design touches into this garment and not just releasing a "basic" brief. The contrast color combinations are masculine and eye-catching with lots of small design touches that go above and beyond the norm including the contrast-color stitching, the extra logo tag in front and the extensively redesigned interior lifting pocket. | Material: | A- | The cotton blend is pretty good in my experience with a decent amount of stretch and is softer than the Wonderjock 100% cotton ribbed material. There's still just the slightest bit of stiffness in the fabric that I wish were slightly softer. | Construction: | A+ | Given the high number of panels, pieces and contrast colors it's no small victory that the construction is nearly flawless on this brief. The fabric edges were very clean, no loose threads could be found and the stitching was very straight. | Overall Grade: | A | Originally I averaged out the issues I had with the fit and the other high marks and settled on a B+ for the overall grade. Now that I have been able to try out a less problematic brief from the same line but in a different color I'm much happier to go with a full "A" score. I'm willing to leave an opening that maybe I received a slightly "off" pair of the briefs where the leg-band and back fit were less than optimal. This is a great brief and worth checking out if you're on the market for something fashionable and enhancing. | Would I buy another pair? Although I had some initial concerns on the fit before I had a chance to try a different pair, I can now say I would definitely try another pair as the engineering is top notch and the color-block designs are unique enough to stand out from the current underwear "crowd". |
