PENNSYLVANIA NATIVE IS CROWNED MISTER USA 2008 BOSTON, August 23, 2008
- IVAN RUSILKO, a 24-year-old professional model from Meadville, Pennsylvania, was crowned as the new Mister USA during a gala event at the Lenox Hotel ballroom in Boston. Rusilko won over $20,000 in cash and prizes and will also represent the United States in the Mister International 2008 pageant in the Republic of China (Taiwan) in November.
MISTER USA 2008 was chosen by a panel of celebrity judges which included: Jacob Hill, Mister USA 2007; Alida D'Agona, Miss Boston 2008; Dana Rosengard, professor of journalism at Suffolk University; Becca Bousquet, the official photographer sponsor; and Alvin Matium, professional make-up artist and pageant coach.
The contestants competed in three categories: swimwear, evening wear and interview. Final Results: First Runner-up
