Carly Rose Sonenclar, age 13, started singing at the age of two, and has not stopped since! She began her professional career in 2006 in The Night of the Hunter, in which she played the lead role of Pearl.

Carly made her Broadway debut at the age of seven in Les Miserables as Young Cosette and understudying Gavroche. In 2009-2010, Carly appeared in the national tour of Little House on the Prairie The Musical with Melissa Gilbert, originating the principal role of Carrie. In 2011, Carly originated the principal role of Chloe in Wonderland on Broadway, and is a featured soloist on the cast CD. Big screen credits include Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 and The Nanny Diaries.

Carly made her television debut as Gilda Flip in Season Three of The Electric Company, currently airing on PBS. Vocal appearances include singing the National Anthem for the Los Angeles Dodgers at Dodger Stadium, the New York Mets at Citi Field, the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden and being selected to sing at the US Open Tennis Tournament. In the last year, Carly has appeared in the New York Musical Theater Festival production of The Big Bank, originating the lead character of Parsley, as well as in two staged readings for The Roundabout Theatre, The Philadelphia Story and Little Miss Fix-It where she had the lead. In addition, she has twice performed at Birdland, the legendary New York City jazz club, and recently was honored to be chosen a winner of the Jazz Forum Arts’ first annual Vocal Jazz Competition.

She is proud to volunteer her time to support various charities, including performing at the K.I.D.S. Fashion Delivers benefit at which Barack Obama was the keynote speaker, and The Hillside Food Outreach benefit, accompanied by Bernie Williams. Carly is currently an Ambassador for The Starlight Children’s Foundation of NY/NJ and CT, and recently was the featured performer at the annual fundraising gala held at New York City’s Marriott Marquis Hotel.

Carly is an avid softball player, adores her 18-year-old brother Russell, and is an eighth grader in Westchester, NY.
