Rated -1 The moskva is a nazi club. And down to gorky park is a hebrew metaphor (when translated into hebrew) for "til i die". "an august summer night" this line implies it was in the northern hemisphere since it is winter in august in countries such as australia. So this line narrows the nazi club down to about 74 countries, germany maybe? or russia?
"The world is closing in"... too right, they've no where to go. No idea what the chorus is about, sounds good tho. "walking down the street/distant memories/are buried in the past forever" - this suggests that people may have forgave for the world war. the lyrics that follow are "i follow the moska/down to gorky park" again making a point, but he wont forgive he will keep on fighting. The rest of the song doesn't make much sense.

Rated 0 Hey Simonlee ... I think you're a little confused there buddy(unless you're being facetious on purpose). In the context of the song, I'm pretty sure the moskva is not a nazi night club, its simply a transliteration of the russian word Moscow, and is the name of a large river which runs through the former Soviet capital. Gorky Park, again, is a famous landmark in Moscow, as it is the main amusement park for the city, and is situated along the Moskva river. The Scorpions simply wish to portray the changing of times surrounding the fall of the Iron Curtain, as one meandering down by the Moskva towards Groky Park would be able to hear the sounds of people and amusement-park activities going on; the "wind of change" spreading the newfound feelings of freedom to those who previously may not have been able to enjoy the simple pleasures of playing games or riding a ferris wheel.

Rated 0 I think Simonlee is a jackass! How dumb could one possibly be?????? Evidently you have never seen the video! It's definately about the fall of the Berlin Wall/ Iron Curtain. I recently saw the Scorpions in Las Vegas and they were superb! Klaus' voice is almost as good as sex!
