yo quiero Rafa : Rafa during a break ( continue ) !!!
The Pro AM golf tournament in Castellón
Rafa Nadal: "What we have gone very well, has been a pleasure, I want to thank Sergio and the entire organization for inviting me, playing alongside Sergio is a pleasure and an impressive experience, the four of the team, both Enrique and Ana , As Sergio and I have played quite right but everything we have gone very well. I am fairly active, I like sports activity, from small I played football, I love, is my favorite sport but by themes of injury I can not play, I love golf too, and there is no risk of injury unless get a bolazo! l like golf, it relaxes me, you're surrounded by nature, is always a beautiful environment and are concentrated for 4 hours. My game is going for days, I do not have a coup or better or worse because my golf is much less consistent, my schedule is tight and when you do not train can not value, there are days that I hit better, another worse ... The Prince of Asturias prize for me is the most important thing that I can move away from the tracks, because it is merit-based sporting and human, I am very grateful, plus all the candidates who had next to me in a year that Spanish sports is so up and we all deserve, I thank all those who made it possible to get. The more things done in your land, the better. I want to congratulate Castellon and Valencia by all sporting activities that are organized, are a world reference in terms it is always sad to lose Balearic an event as important (Mallorca Classic) but hopefully can come back, a few years have been very happy watching and now I hope you enjoy yourselves. Professional golf in the future? When I withdraw from the tennis, I do not know when but I hope it will not be soon, I think it will be too late to start a career in another sport. In all professional sports is becoming complicated, I think my game could not ever get where they want to reach my aspirations mentally, I will continue playing and trying to improve, but I doubt that I dedicate this professionally someday. Hopefully, Sergio and I are so many years, if Sergio was the number 1 in golf and tennis at 3 I would be happy for him. It is very difficult to be between 5, 10, 20 best in the world in sport and in anything in life. I have two years between the 2 best, and Sergio takes many more among the 10 best, and hopefully we will last long. I love golf and I still quite by chance I met that I would have liked to have known, Sergio know him for years, with Tiger Woods, this year I met in New York to Greg Norman, Justin Rose almost did not get to meet him today because he almost killed a bolazo!. But I know you have made illusion. Already sent my message to Seve through his family, has been very strong in his life, his career and now plays remain strong, you command a hug for him, his family and his recovery as soon as possible. " On those who do not sign autographs: "You have to understand the situations, there are times that from the outside you can not appreciate and there are times that you can not stop to sign, but you can not or must be done with education. I try to always sign because very happy doing very little about children, who are most follow you, that you see on TV, which you have as a reference. Like happens to Sergio, we are very lucky because things have gone well in life, many children remain and we must lead by example. " Rafa Nadal and the golfer Sergio Garcia played golf in the Club de Campo del Mediterráneo de Borriol, prior to the Castelló Master Series Costa de Azahar, a competition that is part of the PGA Tour that starts next Thursday. Sergio Garcia affirmed that already he is accustomed to play with Rafa Nadal, as much to tennis as to golf today. "We already know how Rafa plays tennis, but he's also good at golf" , Garcia explained. They played in "pro-am" of the match with the bullfighter Enrique Ponce and the president of BANESTO, Ana Patricia Botin. When it comes to golf, Tiger is probably my idol," Rafa said. "I never have an idol but he is probably the sportsman who I admire more because I like a lot his mentality. "I like a lot his eyes when he's going to have the important shot. He is always playing with unbelievable determination in important moments. The last part of the fourth day, only one guy with unbelievable concentration, unbelievable determination and big confidence in yourself. Only Tiger can do something like this". "I know how tough it is playing having pain, and it is very difficult to have very good concentration when you are, in my case, running or touching the ball and you feel pain. That's unbelievable to win a US Open like this. วันนี้พี่ล่ำจะเดินทางไปออสเตรีย เพื่อไปรับรางวัล 'Príncipe of Asturias Award' ในวันศุกร์ค่ะ

Federer ready to pounce if Nadal can't hold up in 2009 10/22/08 9:22 AM | Johan Lindahl Roger Federer is prepared to sit back and watch as Rafael Nadal faces the massively difficult task of defending a No. 1 ranking for the first time.
2009 will be entertaining in many ways for the Swiss, who lost his year-end title to his Spanish rival. But after topping the table for the last five years, Federer knows the grinding reality of trying to stay at the summit of the ATP elite.
"Of course he's got the lead with the points, but there's a few guys breathing down his neck - and I'm one of them," said Federer, who is aiming his efforts at a fast start in January in Australia.
"I hope I can start off well with the Australian Open."
"It all starts at zero next year," said Federer. "Rafa is going to have way more to defend next year than I have. We'll see how he feels next year with all the pressure. Can he play the whole year through being No. 1 in the world?"
Nadal still has autumn dates at the Shanghai Masters Cup and the Davis Cup final with Argentina in South America. Then in just a month or two, he will be back on court with at least eight titles to defend. Free TextEditor

1st Question: What place for you after so many prizes, would you put the award, such an award, the Principe de Asturias?
Rafa: Well like I have said... good morning, good afternoon everyone (with a smile)... I have said on various occasions that for me, away from the courts this is the most important prize that anyone could give me. Personally I am grateful to everyone who has made it possible for me to receive this award, to everyone who has helped and voted for me and put me forward as a candidate. For me to receive this award in a year that has been so significant for Spanish sport. I think that many Spanish sportsman also deserve it. It is very special, more so when bearing in mind the candidates I was competing with, no? It is not only a sports theme but also a personal and human one, so it gives me more illusion, no?
2nd question: There are some sports, cycling for example, where the position of leader is considered to be a handicap, that there is a lot of pressure. I don't know if your last few matches... well it seems that it is a little harder for you to win than before you became No 1. The matches seem tougher, I don't know if it is a psychological or physical tiredness or being No. 1
Rafa: I dont know. Did you see the matches? Did you see them? Well I don't think like that. I honestly don't think you are right! In reality since being No 1 I won the Olympics, I reached the semi finals of the US Open for the first time in my life, I reached the semi finals of a tough Madrid tournament, I was very close to getting to the final, I am conscious that reaching the semi final of the first indoor tournament is more than a good tournament, I contributed to the victory of the Spanish team in the semi finals of the Davis Cup, so no, I don't think you are right! Even so, the pressure of being No 1, its what one wants to makes of it. For me the objectives and the pressure is exactly the same for me today as it was being No 2 six months ago. My objectives are the same as always, continue improving my tennis, keep working hard to have the opportunity to win big tournaments, and continue working hard to maintain my position in the top positions of the ranking. So for me, the pressure has not changed.
3rd question: How do you feel about the definitions they have given you like "Zen warrior, Soul of the machine" etc in recent articles in relation to you as a person, and also how do you feel alongside the other award winners for the Principe de Asturias. Knowing that Nobel does not have a category for sports, and these awards are often compared to those?
Rafa: Well those first definitions I hadnt heard of, but well, I consider myself a pretty calm person. On the court my image might be different to what it is off the court, but I am pretty calm, normal. And next very happy to be here in Asturias. It is the second time I have been here and of course this time I am here for a special reason, receiving an award, and possibly the most special award that I have been given in my whole life and being with the other Award winners here, its a very big illusion, no?
4th question: Rafa. An American magazine has come out, one of the widest read magazines, Askmen, it is called. A list of the 50 most influential people in the world. No 1 is Obama, the only Spaniard on the list is you at No 30 ahead of Brad Pitt. What do you think?
Rafa: I havent had time to think about it because I have only just found out. No, I dont really think anything, those are things that dont have much importance. One has to reason whether the results are 100% accurate. I dont feel influential, not even in my own home!
5th question: Two questions. One general and the other very local. The general question is having won everything this year, how do you motivate yourself for next season, what objectives do you have? And the local question is, this is the first time you have played in Asturias no? (Rafa interrupts saying he hasnt played there yet) No, this morning (training, yes a little) how did it go? Who did you play with? How do you feel playing in Asturias?
Rafa: Well first, the objectives, first we have to finish this season, still a way to go, three tournaments, well two and the Davis Cup finals those are two important objectives, and for next season the same objectives as every year, try to have good training in December and try to be in the best form for January to start the season well. After that the objectives, well it is logical, no, try to feel a better tennis player and try to maintain my position in the top rankings of world tennis. The training here in Asturias, good. A covered court where I played with a colleague from Mallorca, Tomeu Salva, a friend who I was lucky enough to have accompany me here.
6th question: Hello, good afternoon Rafa. I wanted to know if during the length of the season you obsessed yourself trying to reach No 1, and once you got there whose congratulations that meant most to you, the family, another tennis player, a friend?
Rafa: Obsession. None. I have been four years well, three and a half years as No 2, so I was happy as I was as No 2 and if I go back to being No 2 I will be just as happy as being No 1, therefore, none. I simply tried to give the best of myself each week, like I have done during all my life. I have a theory that being No 1 or not there is no reason to chase after it. There are moments during the season that yes I had no alternative but to make an effort if I wanted to get to No 1, and apart from that how tennis is at the moment it is very even at the top, but obsession, none.
7th question: I have two questions. First. Would you have liked to share this prize with Roger Federer, I will explain myself. A year or two ago there was a joint candidature for the two of you to share this award and I say this because I think it would be really nice as (both of) you represent one of the most important values that there are in sport, which is to understand rivalry in a gentlemanly fashion. I believe it is an example. And the second (question), Djokovic aside, which ones of the younger players behind you who is the strongest in your opinion to push for No 1? Murray? Simon?
Rafa: Well firstly, it is clear Federer deserves this award, at least as much, if not more than I do. So to share the Award with him two years ago would have been an honour, and surely in the future he will be awarded. And the other question you asked what was it? Ah yes well, there are a lot, Murray, Cilic, what do I know! There are a bunch of younger players that are there and are a reality. And they will probably be right up there for many years. It will be a nice hard competition.
8th question: Of the two objectives you have left for this season, the Masters Cup of Shanghai and the Davis Cup, the finals of the Davis Cup against Argentina, which gives you the most illusion. Regarding the Argentinians, what do you think will be the key things?
Rafa: Well, illusion, anything gives me an illusion. Just competing in the Masters Cup gives me illusion, the fact that I have earned the right one more year to be there one of the eight best players, and secondly the key against the Argentinians is to win 3 points! There is no key point, just to play well, try to play if it is possible our best tennis. Only that way do we have an opportunity to win. We are conscious that when one plays away from home the rivals are the favourites. Not always, but historically we know that in the Davis Cup the team that plays at home is most likely to win, therefore we will go there and give it our all there, bearing in mind that they are the favourites. Moreover they have a great team.
9th question: Having been Olympic Champion and Principe de Asturias Award winner this year does it make this an unrepeatable year for you because of your transcending results?
Rafa: Unrepeatable? Ojalá que no! (I hope not). But yes it is difficult. The reality is, winning what I have won this year and to culminate winning an award as significant as the Principe de Asturias Award, it has been the most special year of my career by a long way.
Last question: Have you had the chance to be with the other Award winners? Have you spoken with any of them? I know that this morning you spent some time with Maestro Abreu, that I know, but is there anyone else you would like to know?
Rafa: Well I haven't really had the chance. Since I got here I have been going from place to place, I gave some interviews, I went to train and I came back and so I haven't had time to meet them. You yourself introduced me to Maestro Abreu which was a pleasure, and maybe tomorrow or perhaps tonight I might have the opportunity.
