If you happened to be at the 2008 Vancouver Home & Garden Show, youll know the main attraction was this eco friendly prefabricated home - the EcoFabulous House - a lean, "green" design that still puts style and comfort in the forefront. Designed by Architecton and Shelter Industries, this modern home is your stylish solution environmentally friendly, modular housing. At 1,400 sq. ft., this house features reclaimed wood, recycled materials and sustainable products. Adding to this ecologically low-impact design, the architects included energy-efficient appliances and windows, water-saving technology, and smart wiring. The factory built design also does its part by reducing emissions and waste associated with on-site construction. The house consists of two modules: one housing an open-concept living area and kitchen, and the other occupied by two bedrooms and two bathrooms. A 400-sq.-ft. patio incorporates the great outdoors into this country-chic design. The homes facade of cedar and steel complements the custom-made roof.
