กุหลาบที่นิยมปลูก

กุหลาบที่นิยมปลูกโดยทั่วไป สามารถแบ่งออกเป็น 2 กลุ่ม คือ

1. กุหลาบสมัยเก่า

2. กุหลาบสมัยใหม่
กุหลาบที่ปลูกกันอยู่ในบ้านเรา เรียกโดยรวมว่า "กุหลาบรุ่นใหม่ Modern rose" ไม่ว่าจะเป็นกุหลาบตัดดอก cut-rose หรือกุหลาบประดับสวน garden-rose จะมีหลากหลายสายพันธุ์ มี "กุหลาบรุ่นเก่า Ole garden rose" ปะปนอยู่บ้างก็ไม่มาก เช่นกุหลาบมอญ กุหลาบจุฬาลงกรณ์ และกุหลาบอังกฤษ (English Rose) เป็นต้น

ซึ่งกุหลาบที่นิยมปลูกในบ้านเรา จะแบ่งออกได้อีก 6 ประเภท คือ

1) กุหลาบดอกเดี่ยว Hybrid Teas

3) กุหลาบพวงดอกใหญ่ Grandifloras

ลำต้นและก้านดอกยาว คล้ายกันกับกุหลาบ "ไฮบริดที" เกิดจากการผสมกันระหว่าง กุหลาบ "ไฮบริดที" กับกุหลาบ "ฟลอริบันดา" เหมาะสำหรับการปลูกเป็นไม้ประดับ หรือไม้ตัดดอก

4) กุหลาบหนู Miniatures

ลำต้น ใบ ดอก มีขนาดเล็ก เกิดจากการผสมระหว่างสายพันธุ์ "โพลิแอนธา" กับ "ฟลอริบันดา" และกุหลาบป่า เหมาะที่จะปลูกเป็นไม้ประดับ ปลูกในกระถาง

5) กุหลาบเลื้อย Climers and Rambler

ลำต้นสูงตรง เลื้อยพันกับสิ่งต่างๆ ดอกมีหลายขนาด

6) กุหลาบประดับสวน Garden rose or Garden Variety
