Oh, I kept the first for another day! Yet knowing how way leads on to way, I doubted if I should ever come back. I shall be telling this with a sigh Somewhere ages and ages hence: Two roads diverged in a wood, and I I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference.

ทางสองแพร่งแบ่งอยู่ในป่าใหญ่ ฉันเสียใจที่ไม่อาจเดินทั้งสองทาง แต่เพียงผู้เดียว ฉันหยุดแลเหลียว ตามทางหนึ่งออกไปจนสุดสายตา จนกระทั่งมันเลี้ยวลับในพงหญ้า
แล้วก็เดินอีกทางหนึ่งซึ่งงามทัดเทียมกัน เพราะว่าทางนั้นเรียกร้องฉันมากกว่า มันมีหญ้าปกคลุมด้วยขาดผู้ใช้ แต่ถึงจะเดินไปแล้วในทางนั้น ก็ไม่ทำให้ทั้งสองทางเห็นต่างกันแต่อย่างใด
ตอนเช้านั้นทางทั้งสองมีแต่ใบไม้ร่วงหล่น ที่ยังไม่มีผู้คนเหยียบย่ำอยู่เสมอกัน ขอให้ฉันได้เก็บทางแรกไว้เดินอีกเถิดหน้า แต่ฉันรู้ว่าหนทางไม่เคยย้อนหลัง ฉันเกรงว่าคงไม่อาจหวังที่จะได้หวนกลับคืน
ฉันจะต้องถอนใจเศร้าเมื่อเล่าเรื่องนี้ ไม่ว่าจะเป็น ณ ที่แห่งใด ในอนาคตอันห่างไกล ว่าทางสองแพร่งแบ่งออกจากกัน ส่วนตัวฉันเล่า ฉันเลือกเอาสายที่ไม่มีผู้เดินทาง และ ข้อแตกต่างจะมีก็อยู่เพียงแค่นี้เอง

มีทางแยกสองสายในป่าเยลโล่วู้ด
เสียดายที่ฉันไม่อาจเลือกไปพร้อมๆกันทั้งสองทาง
ในฐานะนักเดินทางผู้หนึ่ง..ฉันยืนหยุดคิดอยู่เนิ่นนาน
เท่าที่จะทำได้..ฉันมองออกไปไกลบนถนนที่ทอดยาว
ว่าทางอันคดเคี้ยวไปในแมกไม้นั้นจะพาไปยังที่ใด
ฉันมองไปอีกทางหนึ่งในแบบเดียวกัน
บางทีอีกทางนั้นน่าจะดูดีกว่า
เพราะมันปูด้วยหญ้าเขียวขจี
และหลายๆคนก็เลือกที่จะไปทางนั้น
เช้าวันนั้น ทางแยกสองสายที่ทอดยาวออกไปดูเหมือนๆกัน
เพราะมีใบไม้ปกคลุมจนไม่เห็นรอยเท้าที่เคยย่ำผ่าน
ฉันตัดสินใจเลือกเดินไปในทางสายแรก
แม้รู้ว่าทางเส้นนี้จะพาฉันไกลออกไปเรื่อยๆ
จนไม่แน่ใจว่าจะย้อนกลับมาเลือกเดินอีกทางหนึ่งได้
พร้อมๆกับลมหายใจที่ถอนออกมา...ฉันจะบอกให้ฟังด้วยความโล่งใจ
ณ แห่งนั้น ซึ่งกาลเวลาผ่านไปวันแล้ววันเล่า
ทางแยกสองสายในเงาไม้นั้น
ฉันเลือกเดินบนทางที่มีผู้คนเลือกน้อยกว่า
และนั่น...ทำให้ชีวิตฉันแตกต่างไปอย่างมากมาย
