When a law student doesnt want to deal with courts.

"Dad, I don’t wanna be a doctor. I want to study Laws,"
I told my dad one day during my high school years.
"Can you make the innocent one become guilty and vice versa?"
But I kept quiet.

Back then, I could say that I had very little knowledge about this occupation. All I knew is that if I want to be a judge, I have to study Laws; and that’s it. Fortunately, I had other choice; having won the scholarship enabled me to study Law and simultaneously do not have to be a lawyer.

After having searching for information about applying for a Law school in US, I realized that some of them require a 80-100 hours’ apprenticing. I then got myself to be an apprentice at the court; learning about the legal procedure and so on.

Being here at this court changes my view; things are not always like what we assumed. After having a hard time studying and memorizing all the provisions in those Law Codes, lawyers still have to get through all difficulties in the Bar Examinations
and probably the judge assessing examinations also for those who wish to be the judge.

As a lawyer, you need to do everything that aids in lessening his client’s penalty or ,if possible, getting him out of guilt; but after all, it must not get others in trouble. The reason why they do this is not that they love being paid a lot, as for many cases, they do not get paid; just volunteer to do so according to the request from the court itself.

Court, to your mind, probably sounds like a sketchy place, but actually it is not. Court can be seen in two lights:
it might look like a theater where everyone keeps lying to each other, or it could be a real court where justice could be expected. You might say every single fact or, on a contrary, you lie everything. Court has no idea if all you said is truth or a well-prepared lie. All the sentence is made based on the evidence and witness the court has. You might wonder if law and court could not keep society peaceful, what’s the use of law then?
Do keep in mind that not only laws are needed in maintaining peace and happiness in our society, but flexibility and conscience also play an important role in doing so. If people keep doing wrong, no peace or development is going to be found here.

So..maintain your goodness, fidelity and conscience in a good condition.
