ไปแจ้งตัวเองกับมหาลัย

Apparently I have been told to go to uni to identify my current address in Australia and also get enrolled for the course since I need to be enrolled before having the student ID card done. I obviously need the student card to take the bus for free!! Otherwise I have to pay for buses since I gotta take the bus to Palmerston campus to study! Yeah...my classes are in Palmerston campus which is about 30-40 min away by bus/car.

I firstly went to the lady in front of the counter at the Information office and asked her what to do.

Me: '' Hi, how are you going?"

Lady: "Good thanks, yourself? how may I help you?"

Me: "Not bad, thanks. I'm a new student here. Just wondering where to get the student card done and what I should do with enrollment"

Lady: "Well, you need to be enrolled first then you can do your student card here. You probably need to speak to the lady sitting over there since she's responsible for international students."

Me: "Oh, okay"

Lady: "I'm gonna pass you to that lady and she'll help you out. But you need to fill in this form (VET Enrollment Form)"

Me: "Okay, thank you very much."

นึกว่าเค้าจะลงทะเบียนให้เลยเพราะเราจ่ายค่าเทอมแบบเหมาจ่ายไปแล้วนี่หว่า...
อ่อ ลืมบอกไปว่าผมเรียนหลักสูตร Certificate III in Hospitality. ประมาณด้านการริการ โรงแรม เสริฟ อะไรเทือกนั้นแหละ ตอนแรกกะว่าจะลงเรียน Master's degree แต่ว่า กลัวไม่ไหว ....เพราะบ่มีเงินจ่าย...เรียนนี่ไปก่อนล่ะกัน ยังไงซะงาน part-time เราก็ร้านอาหารกะร้านกาแฟ..จะได้ปรับปรุงตัวเราด้วย...เผลอๆ อาจได้เป็นอาจารย์พิเศษสอนตามสถาบันในไทย ตอนกลับไทย (ถ้าเค้ารับนะ หุหุ)


Then I walked to the other lady that mentioned.

Lady : "How're you goin'?"

Me: "Good thank you"

Lady : "May I help you?"
สำเนียงคุ้นๆ เหมือนคนบ้านเราแฮะ...

Me: "Yep...I'm a new student here and I'd like to enroll for my course of study. Could you help me with that?"

Lady: "Sure, have you filled out the application form?"

Me: "Yes, here it is"

Lady : "Can I see your ID please?"

แล้วผมก็ยื่น passport ให้เค้าไป

Lady: "Um....excuse me, where are you from?"

Me: "Thailand"

Lady: "อ้าว คนไทยเหรอค่ะ มาอยู่นานยังค่ะเนี่ย สำเนียงดีนะ ฟังไม่เหมือนคนไทยพูดอังกฤษเลย " (ผมก็แอบดีใจเล็กน้อยถึงปานกลาง)

Me: " ก็ปีนึงแล้วครับ " (จริงๆ ผมรุ้แล้วแหละว่าพี่เค้าเป็นคนไทย เพราะที่ป้ายชื่อที่ติดบนเสื้อพี่เค้าเขียนว่า Chureerat H. แต่ก็ไม่แน่ใจว่าพีเค้าพูดไทยได้เปล่า เพราะสำเนียงเหมือนเจ้าของภาษา แสดงว่าคงโตที่นี่แหละ)

Lady: "เด๋ว พี่เช็คให้นะคะ ว่าจะลงทะเบียนเรียนยังไง"

Me: "ครับ....พี่อยู่นี่นานยังครับ " (แน่ะ..เจือกถามเค้าอีก..อ่ะก็อยากรู้อ่ะ)

Lady: "พี่เพิ่งอยู่ที่นี่ (Darwin)ทำงานที่นี่ได้ 6 เดือนจ่ะ" (เออ..แสดงว่าเราอยู่นานกว่า...)

Me: "อ่อ ครับ"

Lady : "สงสัยน้องต้องไปที่ Palmerston แล้วแหละ เด๋วพี่โทรเช็คให้ว่ามีใครอยู่เปล่า เพราะช่วงนี้ จนท เค้ายัง holiday อยุ่เลย"

Me: "เหรอ ครับ...แต่ผมเปิดเรียนวันที่ 1 Feb นี้นะครับ แล้วเค้าบอกว่าต้องมารายงานตัวภายใน 1 week ที่เดินทางมาถึง"

.......ถึงตอนนี้บางคน งง เอ้าเมื่อกี้ผมบอกว่ามาอยู่ได้ปีนึงแล้ว ช่ายครับแต่ตอนนั้นมา work and holiday ตอนนี้มา เป็น student ครับ......

Lady: "แต่ว่าตอนนี้ไม่มี จนท ที่ Palmerston campus งั้นเอาไว้วันจันทร์หน้าน้องเข้ามาติดต่อใหม่นะหรือจะส่งเมล์ถามเค้าดูก็ได้ หรือจะไปที่ Palmerston campus ก็ได้ เพราะน้องต้องไปเรียนที่ campus นั้น"

Me: "อ่อ ผมยังไม่เคยไป Palmerston เลยครับ"

Lady: "พี่ก็ยังไม่เคยไปเหมือนกันจ้า..เคยไปแต่แถวๆเมืองนั้นแต่ยังไม่เคยเข้าไปใน campus"

Me: "@#^%$*(*^*&()&)%%^()_ อ่อ......โอเคครับ"

จบ...สรุปแล้วเด๋วมาวันจันทร์นะเรา แต่เด๋วก่อน ส่งเมล์ไปถาม จนท เค้าดีกว่า เพราะพี่เค้าให้เมล์มา
