ตามหัวเรื่องนี้ ... ไม่ได้ตั้งใจจะด่าใคร หรือตำหนิใครหรอกครับ แต่ว่าจะมาเล่าว่า ช่วงปิดเทอม December 2007 นี้ ผมมีแผนครับ
สืบเนื่องจากที่ University of Illinois College of Law มีกลุ่มนักเรียนกฎหมาย จัดโครงการอาสาสมัคร ไปช่วยเหลือประชาชนที่ประสบภัยจาก พายุเฮอริเคน แคทริน่า ที่เมืองนิวออร์ลีน รัฐหลุยส์เซียน่า ตั้งแต่เมื่อสองปี โดยจะไปรับรู้ รับฟังปัญหาทางกฎหมายที่เขาประสบอยู่ และ ไปช่วยเหลือในด้านกายภาพ ปรับปรุง สภาพแวดล้อม ฯลฯ ที่อยู่อาศัยของพวกเขา ผมจึงอาสาไปกับเขาด้วย
Before Catrina, New Orleans was a very dangerous place. When my wife and I were there for a presentation, we were advised to be within the French Quarter for our own safety.
Anyway, we really liked the city... you know, the French Quarter, Cafe Du Mont, the River Walk, jazz music, Jackson Square, French-styled architectures, lively street shows, and much more... All of these may not be easily seen in any other US cities.
It's just simply charming.
Too bad, at that time, we didn't have much time and money to explore any other Southern charms such as gumbo foods, city tours, bayoo outside New Orleans...
If you have a chance, these are also worth your time and money.
On top of that, you have opportunity to see grief and sorrow of people of New Orleans.... which I don't think that the city would be able to fully recovered any time soon.
If you don't mind, take lots of pictures, narrate and share your experiences with us.. Myself, at least, looks forward to reading them through.
ถ้าเป็นผมเหรอครับ ผมไปครับ ผมคิดว่าเป็นสิ่งนี้เป็นสิ่งที่มีประโยชน์มาก น่าจะยังไม่มีกลุ่มคนกลุ่มใดทำ และจะเป็นการช่วยเหลือชาวบ้านจริงๆ
ผมเห็นว่า การดูแลสังคมเล็กๆน้อยๆในลักษณะนี้ เป็นสิ่งที่สถาบันการศึกษาฯที่มีความพร้อมควรจะสนับสนุนในเกิดขึ้นอย่างต่อเนื่องครับ
