My first house in Australia It is a very good emotion to think about my first house in Australia. It was 50 Myth St. New Farm Brisbane. There were 4 rooms upstairs and 2 rooms downstairs. There was a hammock on the terrace over the back yard. Pegie was a house owner; she was Chinese – Malaysian, kind and friendly. I stayed with 6 people, Pegie, her husband (David), Pamela her daughter, and two Japanese girl students. After one month, one Japanese girl became my girlfriend. We spent most of our time together. We were hand in hand down the street. We walked under the Jacaranda trees with the purple flowers falling down, which made the long foot path full of colour every evening. There was the New Farm Botanic Park only 5 minutes walk from the house, which was the place where my girlfriend and I sat and watched the current in the Brisbane river during the sunset. Even though I stayed here only 4 months, this house brings me back so many impressive and graphic memories. Living in this house, I felt very much in a new world. It was such a long way from being part of the house in Thailand. The first house in Australia to me, was not just a first place I stayed, it was a place that I had my first love.
