the same as ..., different from ...



ในประโยคเปรียบเทียบ เราคงเคยได้ยินกันมาไม่น้อย ว่าสิ่งนี้เหมือนกันกับสิ่งนั้น และแตกต่างกันกับสิ่งโน้น ฯลฯ
วันนี้ผมจะขอทบทวนเพิ่มเติม ในส่วนของ 2 คำในประโยคเปรียบเทียบซึ่งก็คือ
the same as ... (มีความหมายว่า เหมือนกัน)
different from ... (มีความหมายว่า ต่างกัน)
ตัวอย่างเช่น
Is Chinese Food the same as Thai food?
No, it isn't. It's different from Thai food.
หรือ จะตอบว่า
It's different to Thai food.
ซึ่งไม่ผิดหลักไวยกรณ์แต่อย่างใด

Is Scotland the same as England?
No, it isn't Scotland is different from/to England.

Is English football football the same as American football?
No, it isn't. English football is different from/to American football.

Is one mile the same as one kilometers?
No it isn't. one mile is the same as 1.6 kilometers.

Is Jame the same as Henry?
They are twin but Jame is different from/to Henry.
