: : 5 Simple Habits for our Better World : :
Everybody knows that our world's status has changed so fast Some scientist says it's the natural way of the earth to adjust itself But some also says human create too many waste, too much excess carbondioxide, therefore it accelerates the melting of ice sheets at the northpole and southpole. Resulting in the alertness of people around the world Making it the Talk of the Town(of World) about the hot issues such as "climate change", "global warming" and "greenhouse effects" Each of us as an individual cannot stop the nature force, though But we could help doing something good for our world. In addition, it will be good for our health and wellbeing as well.
Try some...
1. Ride the bike, when you feel like travelling around to explore any place of interest.
Most of tourist attraction have bicycles for rent to see places all around. Park your car, rent the bike and see everything with your power of pedals. Not only you lessen CO2, but your health and your loved one's will be better too.
2. Keep the cloth bag with you all the time.
In your car, at the office, in your bag, etc. Use it every time you go shopping, and refuse plastic bag at all times. Don't be shy if the vendor looks at you with a kind of weird look Be confident to do good deed for our world Less waste means less burden to the earth.
3. Bring your own "Pinto" or bowl or Tupperware box when you buy something to eat, and refuse "Foam box"
Foam box is 100% dangerous to the earth's wellbeing It couldn't be destroyed without releasing dangerous chemical gas I try to bring my tupperware box every day to hold food or fruit from vendors Be proud to yourself to help reduce poisonous waste
4. Walking instead of driving every time you can.
I know it might not be practical to walk to work for most people in Thailand... (unlike some people in some country who can walk to the office, so envy...) Just start to walk to some place nearby i.e. to buy groceries from supermarket near your home. I usually walk to the Shopping Centre near my house which is only 10 minutes away. Remember, less use of car means less CO2.
...Last but not least...
5. Reading instead of going shopping and drink water instead of soda, sweetened drinks, etc.
The simple way to spend after work is lying on the bed or sitting on the comfy armchair, reading the book of your selection Of course, you might go shopping some time, but not every occasion you have free time. Reading also brings you the new point of view to think along, to adopt the idea or just to know the new things. While spending time reading, don't forget to spare a bottle of water at hand. Nothing is better for your health than water, believe me.
Happy living on the earth! ....
