A long march with a different turn

World War III is imminent...

There are quite a few species on this planet that kill the same species, the most eminent yet notorious example of all is us, human beings...

Many thousands years ago, there were a small group of a newly evolved Homo sapiens in Central Africa making a historic walk from the human's origin up north... From that walk, humans have walked the earth in every continent up to present....

When they firstly arrived at the area which is currently the Middle East, some members of that group made a left turn to Europe, some made a right turn to Asia and some stayed put in the Middle East...

Essentially, whatever who were your ancestors, all of us originated from one unbroken line of that group of humans....

Time passed and separated their descendants into different geographical locations, civilizations, believes, religions and countries....

It should be long and strong enough for them to forget of what they were, who they fundamentally are and what is life?

Peace is not going to happen in my lifetime.... I just wish that my children would have seen, experienced and enjoyed it as a member of humanity.

Same species but different minds.... is that sufficient to separate us apart??

Who made a wrong turn in that time?

Your perspective really help broaden up my mind.

I am not sure if I am too pessimictic or not, but from my point of view, I believe that human beings are highly individualized and interpersonal conflict is virtually unavoidable. Animal instinct still lies deep within our subconscious and can be stirred up from time to time. That's why rules and regulations have to be installed to keep things in order. Education and culture might help a little in shaping each of us into a more "civilized" being, but the id is still going constantly strong there. That is why I am not so sure whether everlasting peace is going to come at all. As long as we're still here, there will be more and more dispute and confilcts, with ever increasing complexity and conditions, occuring here and there.

I guess we'll have to continue slicing each other's throat and wait until Utopia or Pra-Sri-Ariya era comes along!

PS. I love your blogs! Interestings stuffs!

PS1. I learned that you're in Colorado. Ten years ago I went on an exchange program in UNC and spent time in Greeley for about 2 months and a half. I also went to the Rockies and spent a day in Denver (just one day!) I don't have much memory about the trip now cause I was very young then. But I still keep in touch with the family that I stayed with. Which part of Colorado are you staying in?

PS2. In case you're wondering, my mini-SOP is during its final touch! I'll post it in the forum as soon as I can!

PS3. Please visit my blog if you have time. Lots of songs there if you love music.

I read a number of the book of genesis related stories lately. I was always wondering why the religions that all came from the same source raised so many conflicts and fights among each others. I guess it's human natural instinct.

My worries are for my blood and kin's, I knew that the war in the future will be far more complicated. How could people living in nowadays atmosphere would be able to tolerate the hardship of the war? If I am lucky enough I hope I will not see their suffering in my lifetime. But I agree with you the future is foreseen, it's just the matters of when.

Note: My life has been intertwined with works and many others. New responsibility has emerged, resulting less and less time for my ordinary life. Although, a love to write is still intact... But having less time is related to having less imagination.... Therefore, I could not come up with new writings for quite some times.

It might be a good time for me to leave this forum for moment.... Please take it as Mr. A.T. is having a sabbactatical leave or something like that....

As noted above, my love to write is still the same... and will not be changed. Sometimes somehow, I hope I could come back and give some thoughts in this blog once more.

My pen-name in Pantip is amatuer translator. Actually, I'm a lousy translator with lame translation. My pen-name is somewhat misleading, I have no background in linguistics what-so-ever. Anyway I love to read, write and communicate with people...

Reading is my most favorite hobby. I read everything from shopping bags to articles in theoretical physics. I do research and teaching for my living. So, reading, writing, thinking and doing research works are my everyday routine.

I would like to define myself as a person who is accepting new ideas and adopting those into my way of life.

I believe in power of knowledge/education. I think every society can be a better society with knowledge. Ignorance can be dispelled by it. Humanity can live sustainably and harmoniously with each other along with its biosphere with understandings in the nature surrounding it.

Apart from my philosophical thoughts reflecting who I am, I can tell you something I like or love in particular;

I love dogs.... Particularly, labradore retrievers.... One day, I would like to spend my time and life with them as a big part of my family.

Zhuge Liang is my hero. With his wisdom and faithfulness, he led a tiny army to a mighty and formidable kingdom. He left his humble residence with a hope to come back. But, sadly, he had never returned and died far far away from home in a horse carriage in a battle field. If I could choose where I would, I would say where-ever my lovely wife was nearby.

I value happiness and my family as my first priority. My profession and my philosophy come in the second. Pursuit in wealth has never been in my desire.

I'm glad to be your friend, and look forward to seeing you around krub.

Best wishes,
