The Exhibition of the Lord Buddha’s Biography
After registering with the Singaporean Government in 1999, Wat Phra Dhammakaya Singapore has organized the Buddhism Dissemination Events and Meditation for attaining Dhammakaya for Singaporean, so a lot of Singaporean have studied and understood about merit now and they dedicate themselves as volunteers to work for Buddhism as well.
Merit Zone ... The Bright Zone in Your Mind
In this year, Wat Phra Dhammakaya Singapore did not miss a good chance to announce the Great Kindness of the Lord Buddha by arranging the Vesak Day. This was the 7th time of this event arranged in Singapore and it was permitted by Singaporean Government. Vesak Day in Singapore was on May 5th, 2012 and this event was arranged during May 4th – 6th, 2012 at the heart of Bukit Batok Community. The staffs had installed three temporary giant tents and three middle tents which covered about 1-Rai court and decorated the space as the events of the birth, enlightenment, and death of the Lord Buddha. Moreover, there were many zones for accumulating merit such as the Buddha Watering Zone, Lotus Offering Zone, Meditation Room, Lantern Offering Zone, the Relic Worshipping Zone, etc. There were staffs standing at each zone to explain the visitors, both Buddhists and other believers, to understand about these activities because the staffs wanted the participants to get merit and understand about Buddhism.
