The Ergorapido Ion has some unique and remarkable features. It charges four times faster and delivers 50% more power with lithium ion battery. It operates at full power the entire time its on, unlike other types of battery-powered vacuums. Its lightweight not only makes it easy to carry, but also helps in storing conveniently. When using as a stick vacuum, another highlighting feature is the 180 degree swivel head of the floor base. It is easy to steer around furniture legs with just a light twist of the handle. The front headlight illuminates the hard-to-see areas like under the sofas and makes cleaning easier at any time of the day. Maneuverability becomes easier with better control and for that reason; the Ergorapido Ion is enabled with a rubber cliff hanger pad which allows the vacuum to stand without sliding. Quick emptying of the dust container. Open the vacuum cleaner lid. Clean the dust container by placing the hose of another vacuum cleaner at the opening. Emptying of the dust container. Remove the filter; empty the contents into a dust container. Return filter and click dust container back into place. Quick cleaning of the fine filter (recommended every cleaning). Release the dust container; pull/release spring 5-6 times to dislodge dust. Cleaning of dust container and filters (recommended every 5th cleaning). Release dust container, take out both filters by pressing release buttons. Separate both filters. Dust container and filters can be shaken clean or rinsed in warm water (never in dishwasher). I bought this along with the Hoover Linx stick to compare. Between the two, they both have their advantages and disadvantages, but as an overall stick vac, the Linx probably wins out.

-Really! poor maneuverability on carpet floors (Almost immovable on thicker carpets)

Hoover Linx

+Interchangable/Replaceable Battery
+Can switch brush mode on or off
+Good on hardwood floors AND carpets

CONS
-Less maneuverable/Clunkier (tires my hand out more than Ergorapido)
-A little bit heavier
-No 2-in-1 hand vac
-No vacuum headlight
So each vacuum has it's advantages and disadvantages. If I had just hardwood floors, the Ergorapido would win out. That's where it shines bright. It's a joy to use on hardwood floors. It's almost swiffer-like in maneuverability only glides easier. The headlight feature on the Ergorapido is also a big plus. It let me spot out dust that I normally wouldn't have seen with the Linx. But with the Hoover Linx, I can go on both carpet and hardwood and expect decent performance and use overall. It's not as fun or easy, especially on hardwood floors, but it at least can do carpets all right. Emptying the bins out were an equally matched task, I felt. The same goes for battery charge time and use. Removing the brushroll on the Linx is a pain as you have to unscrew 7 screws whereas on the Ergorapido, you just have to flip a switch to open it up. The filter on the Ergorapido may be better, it's a cloth covered cone. Whenever I take it out and blow on it, there's always the finer dust flying off of it. And on the Linx, it's like this spongy cylinder, sort of like the type of material you'd find in cheap chair stuffing. Whenever I blow on that, nothing really flies off. I do like the Ergorapido and liked the idea of having an integrated hand vac. I would've given it 4 stars but because of it's lack of maneuverability on carpets, I knocked a star off. That's a pretty important quality, I think. The only other thing that really annoyed me about the Ergorapido was it's inability to stand up on it's own. In the end, if I only had to keep one, it'd be the Linx. But I would miss having the Ergorapido.
