He, then, will be your Krishna
I am reading a book called "Eat, Pray, Love." It's a best-selling in USA. Lots of people either extremely adore or hate the book. It's about a woman who journeyed through her...well, we may say 'spiritual' quest, form Italy to India and to Bali.
To say the truth, I think the writer is, sometimes, actually too American and too full of herself. Everything in the book had been written through her very American perspective and it bug me. (I nearly finish India and going onto Bali.) However, from time to time, there are good bits here and there to ponder upon. One of which, which is my favorite so far, is when she told the story of a lady complaining to a Guru. The lady confessed that she does not love God enough.' (not the Christian God, but the Hindu one. It's neither any God like Shiva or Krishna, either. I think God present here as an upper or universal power.)
The Guru then replied; does the lady love anybody. She said: yes, I love my nephew dearly. He said: then, the nephew will be your Krishna, go love him selflessly.
I know that the story has many levels. And I do not want to argue with anybody about theories on this. It's just that I feel good for the story. It makes me feel (and see) some aspects of what people call devotion.
