Urwerk 201
Urwerk, based in Geneva, has added another innovative model to its Revolving Satellite Complication collection.
Telescopic minute hands operate through three orbiting and revolving hour satellites. These telescopic hands precisely adjust their length following the minutes and then retract. Extended, they enable the 201 to display the time across a large easy-to-read, dial. Retracted, they allow for a shorter and more comfortable case.
A 50 hour Power Reserve indicator (left) and Day/Night indicator (right) complete the dial.
The Platinum 201 is a limited edition of ten. The individual watches are not numbered but instead come with a certificate of authenticity confirming that the watch is 'one of ten' timepieces. The 201 Platinum Black is also crafted in a limited edition of ten.
The Control Board on the back of the 201 was inspired by the gauges of a sport car; therefore, it is only fitting that the ingenious features and completely original indications displayed reflect that influence.
Oil Change: This informs the owner that a service is due after three years of operation.
100 Year Plus: the world's first horological odometer. The 100 Year Plus indicator keeps track of the total hours of the movement's operation for well over a century!
Fine Tuning: An easy to use adjustment enabling the wearer to precisely tune the timing of the watch to fit his own specific life style.
Neither the Oil Change or '00 year plus indicators use power from the mainspring. Both are operated directly from the winding of the crown, thus eliminating any effect on the timekeeping of the movement or a reduction in power reserve.

HEUER Carrera CS 3111
I won a pre-owned (97) Carrera 1964 Re-Edition at an auction in early October, and now its time for a little review. English is not my home language, so I will tell about this watch with photos mostly. All pics are mine exept the one of the movement.
For being a mechanical chronograph, this is a quite small watch by todays standards. It has
the size of a classic non chrono watch (ca 36mm). Many watches today are 40mm and above, and mechanical chronographs are rarely under 40mm. Not that the movements are larger -so they would need the bigger cases- its just a matter of trends
But the pros does not end here. In this lovely little case works the manual wind Lemania 1873, same as found in the Omega Speedmaster Pro, a great and trustful workhorse, and a strong reason for why I bought this watch! I dont know if my example has been serviced yet, but it keeps good time and the power reserve is +50 hours when fully wond, just like my Speedmasters with the same Lemania movement. At the bottom of this post you'll find a picture of this movement that I stole from the web (can't remember where and when).
