เป็นเวลาถึง 92 ปีแล้ว ที่ท่าอากาศยานกรุงเทพ หรือที่คนไทยเรียกกันติดปากว่าสนานบินดอนเมือง ได้เปิดให้บริการแก่นักเดินทางจากทั่งทุกมุมโลกที่เดินทางโดยสายการบินต่างๆ จนสนามบินแห่งนี้ได้ชื่อว่าเป็นสนามบินที่เก่าแก่และเปิดใช้งานนานที่สุดในโลก.
และแล้ว...เที่ยวบินสุดท้าย QF 302 ของสายการบินแควนตัส ก็ได้ทยานออกจากรันเวย์ สนามบินดอนเมืองเมื่อเวลา 0309 น. ของเช้าวันที่ 28 กัยยายน ทันทีที่ล้อเครื่อวบินพ้นจากพื้นรันวย์ ไฟรันเวย์แห่งนี้ก็ถูกดับลง เพื่อเป็นสัญญาณบ่งบอกว่านับจากนี้จะไม่มีเครื่องบินพาณิชย์ได้มาใช้บริการรันเวย์แห่งนี้อีกแล้ว ไม่กี่ชั่วโมงหลังจากนั้น ทั่วทั่งสนามบินดอนเมืองก็เหลือเพียงคาวมเงียบเหงาและว่าเปล่า.....คงเหลือเพียงตำนานที่ต้องจาร฿กในหน้าประวัติศาสตร์ของชาติไทย.

Farewell..Don Muang

it was for 92 years that bangkok International Airport,better known to all as don Muang, had catered services to travelers across the world. Don Muang was the world's oldest airport still operation.
And then came the last flight.QF302 of Qantas Airlines took off frome Don Muang at 3.09 am, in the early morning of 28 September. As soon as the plane's wheels were lifted off the runway,the guiding lights were turned off. Frome that moment, on commercial flight would land on this runway.Hours after that, Don Muang was left in darknees and emptinees,leaving only the legend of the old airport as thai history.

สวัสดีสุวรรณภูมิ

เวลา 03.05 น. ของวันที่ 28 กันยายนที่ผ่านมา ท่าอากาศสุวรรณภูมิก็ได้ประเดินให้บริการเชิงพาณิชย์อย่างเติมรูปแบบ โดยสายการบินแรกที่ร่อนเครื่องลงแตะรันเวย์เป็นเที่ยวขนส่งสินค้าของสายการบินลุฟท์ฮันซ่า เที่ยวบินที่ LH 8442 จากแฟรงก์เฟิร์ต. ส่านเที่ยวบินแรกที่ขนส่งผุ้โดยสารมายังท่าอากาศยานสุวรรณภูมินั้นได้แก่สายการบินแอร์โรสวิต เที่ยวบินที่ VV 171 ยูเครน-สุวรรณภูมิ โดยเดินทางถึงสนามบินเวลา 04.40 น.ทันที่ที่ผู้โดยสารทั่งหมดลงจากเครื่อง ตัวแทนของบริษัทท่าอากาศยานไทย จำกัด ได้ให้การต้อนรับพร้อมทั่งมอบชุดของที่ระลึก ประกอบด้วย แผนที่สุวรรณภูมิ แผ่นซีดี และแม่เหล็กติดตู้เย็นรูปสนามบินสูวรรณภูมิ โดยเที่ยวบินนี้มีผุ้โดยสารชาวไทยจำนวน 171 คน

Sawasdee..Suvarnabhumi

At 3.25 am of 28 september 2006 Suvarnabhumi International Airport officially commenced commercial operations.Touching down first was LH8442,a cargo flight of Lufthansa which flew frome Frankfurt. The first passenger fligt to Suvarnabhumi was VV171 Ukraine-Suvarnabhumi of Aerosvit Airliner,which touched down at 4.40 am. As soon as all passengers disembarked the plane,they were warmly greeted by the representative of Airports of thailand Plc,who handed the passengers souvenirs -Suvarnabhumi's maps,a CD and a Suvarnabhumi photo-embeddded magnet. Among the passengers,171 were Thais.
