วงดนตรีร็อค จากแมนเชสเตอร์ ประเทศอังกฤษ ที่กลายเป็นร็อคสตาร์เพียงชั่วข้ามคืน และเป็นขวัญใจของแฟนเพลงทั่วโลก และคงไม่เกินไป หากจะเรียกพวกเขาว่าเป็นวงร็อคที่ยิ่งใหญ่ที่สุด และโด่งดังที่สุดของอังกฤษในยุค 90
Oasis ยุคปัจจุบันประกอบด้วย 2 พี่น้องสุดแสบแห่งตระกูล Gallagher (กัลลาเกอร์) คือ Noel Gallagher (โนเอล กัลลาเกอร์, กีตาร์ และนักแต่งเพลง เกิด 29 พฤษภาคม 1967), Liam Gallagher (เลียม กัลลาเกอร์, น้องชาย นักร้องนำสุดซ่า เกิด 22 กันยายน 1972), Gem Archer (เจม อาร์เชอร์, กีตาร์), Alan White (อลัน ไวท์, กลอง) และ Andy Bell (แอนดี้ เบลล์, เบสกีตาร์)
โดย Oasis นั้นเริ่มต้นจาก เลียม ร่วมกับ พอล อาร์เธอร์ส (กีต้าร์), พอล แม็กกีแกน (เบสกีตาร์) และ โทนี่ แมคแคร์โรล (กลอง) ตั้งวงกันขึ้นมาเดิมใช้ชื่อวงว่า The Rain และภายหลังจึงเปลี่ยนชื่อเป็น Oasis ออกตระเวนทัวร์ไปทั่ว จนกระทั่ง โนเอล ผู้เป็นพี่ชายได้มีโอกาสไปดูการแสดงครั้งแรกของวง และทำให้เขาตัดสินใจที่จะเข้าร่วมวงด้วย
