คืนร่างสู่ D2
ในเมื่อ Cowon D2 สามารถแปลงร่างไปเป็น D2+ ได้ ก็ย่อมต้องสามารถคืนร่างกลับไปเป็น D2 ได้เช่นกัน
ปฏิบัติการคืนร่างงงงงงงงงง
ต้องมี
- tcctool (tcctool-win32.zip)
- firmware ล่าสุดของ D2 (//www.cowonglobal.com)
ลงมือ
- นำ tcctool และ ไฟล์ d2n.bin ที่อยู่ใน folder 0 (firmware ของ D2) ไปไว้ที่เดียวกัน เช่น c:///firmware
- Upload "0" folder d2n.bin with tcctool
- กดปุ่ม menu ค้างไว้แล้วกดปุ่ม เปิดเครื่อง แล้วปล่อยมือทั้งสองปุ่ม
- เสียบสาย USB เพื่อเชื่อมต่อ D2 กับ PC
D2 จะต่อกับ PC ในโหมด USB boot mode
- PC จะพบ D2
ถ้าเรียกหา driver ของ usb ให้ลงไดรเวอร์จาก โฟล์เดอร์ tcctool-driver-win32 ของ tcctool
- ที่ Start > run > พิมพ์ cmd > Enter
จะปรากฏหน้าต่าง command ของ windows
ย้ายไปที่โฟล์เดอร์ "c:///firmware" (ที่หน้าต่าง command) ด้วยคำสั่ง
cd c:///firmware
- อัปโหลด firmware ของ D2 ด้วยคำสั่ง
tcctool///tcctool -d cowond2 d2n.bin
- D2 จะทำเดินการเองโดยอัตโนมัติ และทำการเชื่อมต่อ PC
- Copy "0" folder d2n.bin to root of player
- ก้อปปี้ไฟล์ d2n.bin จากโฟลเดอร์ 0 ไปไว้ใน root ของ D2
- ตัดการเชื่อมต่อ
- Upload "0" folder d2n.bin with tcctool again, file from root will now be flashed
- กดปุ่ม menu ค้างไว้แล้วกดปุ่ม เปิดเครื่อง แล้วปล่อยมือทั้งสองปุ่ม
- เสียบสาย USB เพื่อเชื่อมต่อ D2 กับ PC
D2 จะต่อกับ PC ในโหมด USB boot mode
- PC จะพบ D2

- ถอดสาย USB
- Copy "1" folder d2n.bin to root of player
- เชื่อมต่อ D2 กับ PC ใน mode เก็บข้อมูลธรรมดา
ก้อปปี้ไฟล์ D2N.bin ใน folder 1 ของ firmware ไปใส่ใน root ของ D2
ตัดการเชื่อมต่อ
- เปิด D2
จะเข้าสู่กระบวนการ flash
- Copy "2" folder theme/font files to root of player
- เชื่อมต่อ D2 กับ PC ใน mode เก็บข้อมูลธรรมดา
ก้อปปี้ไฟล์ D2N_font.bin,D2N_rs.bin ใน folder 2 ของ firmware ไปใส่ใน root ของ D2
ตัดการเชื่อมต่อ
- เปิด D2
จะเข้าสู่กระบวนการ flash
- เปิด D2 จะกลับมาเป็น D2 ที่เสียงเบสหนักแน่นเหมือนเดิม

bb = ตัวเลข ความถี่คลื่น-หลังจุด มี 2 ตำแหน่ง
cc = ตัวอักษร ชื่อสถานีวิทยุ

Cowon D2 แปลงร่างเป็น... D2+
These instructions are only for use on a Windows Machine...
You do not need to use any old Firmware, Delete any Folders or Files or
anything else exotic. Make sure to download Tcctool before you start
and Extract Tcctool to the ROOT of your C Drive to a FOLDER named Tcctool, to make things even easier..
1. Connect your D2 to your computer and copy the D2N_P.bin to the ROOT of your D2 and your Tcctool Folder.
2. Disconnect the D2
3. Put your D2 into the Recovery Mode and install the Tcctool drivers using the instructions quoted below:

Press and Hold the Menu Button and Press the Power Switch to on. The screen will be blank, but your D2 is on.
The D2 MUST BE IN THE RECOVERY MODE FOR THIS TO WORK!!!
Connect your D2 to your computer. The New hardware Wizard Window should appear. Perform the following:
• Select "No, not at this time" to the question about connecting to Windows Update.
• Click Next to continue.
• Select "Install from a list or specific location
• (Advanced)"
• Click Next to continue
• Select "Search for the best driver in these locations"
• Unselect "Search removable media"
• Select "Include this location in the search:"
• Browse to the folder that contains the tcctool-driver-win32 folder.
• Click the Next Button
• You should get a Window that States "Please wait while the Wizard installs the software (TCC7801 usb-boot mode).
• Click Finish

NOTE: Now you need to open a Command Prompt Window. Click Start > Run > type cmd > OK...Then type cd C:tcctool at the command prompt and press Enter.
4. Then type tcctool -d cowond2 d2n_p.bin
at the command prompt and Press Enter. You should see something similar
to the quote below in your command prompt window when completed:

NOTE: You are done using Tcctool.
5. Disconnect your D2 and start it if you want to, then shut it off or just connect it your computer to do the next step.
6. Connect D2 to Computer (pay no attention to what is on the screen)
and copy the D2N_P_FT.bin and D2N_P_RS.bin files to the Root of the D2.
7. Disconnect the D2 and start it again to load the D2N_P_FT.bin and D2N_P_RS.bin files.
8. Start your D2 with Plus FW installed...
