HOW TO : EVENING PLATINUM

We're going to a "futuristic" theme party tonight. I want my eyes to stand out. So, I opt for silvery black smoky eyes. This look is inappropriate for work or job interview though.

I want my skin to look polish and naturally smooth. I appl a Diorsnow foundation all over my face. I like to use foundation brush to apply foundation since it's smoother and less gooey.

Eyes will be the center stage. Prep the eye areas with base or primer.
I load my concealer brush with diorskin nude concealer and apply it all over my eyelids. This will act as an eye base.

Using my ring finger to dab over the concealer (body temperature will make the concealer stay put)

HOW TO : EVENING PLATINUM

I load a flat brush with a Guerlain noir kohl liner and dabb it all over my eyelids. I trace a line across creases and along the upper lashlines. This helped me place the shadow in the right spot.

Filling in the color inside from crease downwards with shimmery black shade (Guerlain), using a small eyeshadow brush. Be careful not to load the brush with too much eyeshadow, it tends to fall.

I load more black eyeshadow, and add it along my upper and lower lashlines and on the inner rims of my eyes. This adds definition and offsets the smokiness look.

I used a tissue paper and placed it underneath to catch any shadow that falls. Unfortunately, I didn't do it in this how-to.

HOW TO : EVENING PLATINUM

Using a silver shade from Dior Graphic Light palette, I lightly dab the color in the inner V corners of my eyes.

Using a small angle brush, I blend the silver and black together.
Try not to smudge the black shade, it tends to mix with the silver and the color will be less intense.

I apply several coats of Dior mascara for thicker and lusher lashes.

HOW TO : EVENING PLATINUM

When I play up my eyes, I leave the rest at the minimal.
- I sweep the light bronzer (1) from the apples of my cheeks up to the temple. This will create an illusion of a smaller face.

- I used the darker shade (2) from the same palette and sweep underneath (sorry the color in the pix is way off).
