Shocking news today with regards to the Olympic Games. David Beckham has been left out of the Great Britain football squad for the Olympic tournament. The guy has helped non-stop in getting the Games to London and this is the way Stuart Pearce thanks him. Anyway, these are some images of some of the impressive venues which will be used during the Olympics in London. Only two or three buildings are permanent and so London will not get stuck with sport infrastructure which will lie idle after the Olympic circus has left town. The basketball arena as even been sold on to the Brazil Olympics.

As the soccer World Cup in South Africa builds up to a climax, questions are being asked about what will happen to its new stadiums once the fans have gone home. Similar questions have already been put to the London 2012 Olympic organisers. They have been planning what to do with their venues ever since they launched their bid in 2005.
