However, the government in Myanmar is proposing to implement a log export ban in April 2014 which will dramatically affect the availability of teak in global markets...Diminishing natural forests and teak log bans and value adding policies in some countries is contributing to the way teak is traded around the globe,Price and consumption of teak has increased over the last decade.


Teak is popular planting for 88,000 hectares (550,000 Rai) during 
1994-1996.The government support this project by providing fund 
3,000baht/rai (1,875USD/hectare) and divide to pay for 5 years : 
800, 700, 600, 500, and 400 baht each year.Golden Thai Teak Farm planted on 6,250 rai (1,000 hectares), Age 25 years old. Approx. girth sizes between 80cm to 120cm are available for sale.
