Nick Drake ยอมรับว่าฟังวงนี้ทีแรกแล้วเฉย ๆ ไม่ค่อยรู้สึกอะไร อัลบั้ม Foiled นี้ก็เป็นอัลบั้มแรกที่ฟังด้วย จึงไม่รู้ว่าอัลบั้มก่อน ๆ เป็นยังไง ที่มีอยู่ก็เคยฟังแต่เพลง Calling You ของอัลบั้มที่แล้ว ซึ่งรูสึกชอบมากกว่าเพลงในอัลบั้มนี้ ไอ่เพลง Hate Me ที่คนเค้าชอบนักชอบหนา ไอ่เราก็ต้องฟังรอบสองเสียก่อนถึงจะเริ่มรู้สึกร่วมได้ แต่มาจนบัดนี้ มันกลายเป็นอัลบั้มที่ผมติด Handy Drive ไว้ฟัง โดยไม่ค่อยรู้สึกอยากลบมันออกเท่าไหร่ ใน HIP (นิตยสาร Free Copy ของเชียงใหม่ที่ผมนิยมอ่านที่สุด อย่างน้อยก็ไอ่มุมวิจารณ์อัลบั้มเพลงนี่ล่ะ) บอกไว้ว่าอัลบั้มนี้จะเป็นแนว Alternative Pop-Rock ที่มีส่วนผสมของ Progressive เล็กน้อย (เรียกว่า Pomp prog.) คาดว่าคงเป็นเพราะความคุ้นเคยด้วยส่วนหนึ่ง พอผมเรื่มคุ้นกับ Sound ดนตรีของวงนี้แล้ว จากที่เคยระห่ำฟัง ราชันย์แดงเพลิง มาเป็นไม่รู้เท่าไหร่ ก็เริ่มเทใจเอนเอียงเข้าหา ตุลาฟ้าหม่น เสียบ้าง อา...ก็เดือนนี้มันเป็นเดือนตุลาคม ที่ฟ้าหม่นจริง ๆ เพลง She's my ride home เป็นเพลงที่ผมฟังทีแรกแล้วก็ชอบเลยครับ ผมว่ามันเป็นเพลงที่มีความย้อนแย้งกันของความรู้สึกหม่น ๆ ปนกับความหอมหวานและยังมีอารมณ์โกรธเกลียดแบบเร้น ๆ อยู่ ยิ่งได้อ่านเนื้อดูแล้ว ถ้าให้ตีความในแบบผมล่ะก็ นี้มัน Black Romantic ชัด ๆ ในที่นี้ผมเลยเอา Hate Me มาใส่ไว้ด้วย ถึงจะเป็นเพลงที่ต้องฟังรอบสองถึงจะมีอารมณ์ร่วม แต่ก็จัดว่าเป็นเพลงที่ดีเพลงนึงเลยทีเดียว Title - Hate Me Artist - Blue October Album - Foiled I have to block out thoughts of you so I don’t lose my head They crawl in like a cockroach leaving babies in my bed Dropping little reels of tape to remind me that I’m alone Playing movies in my head that make a porno feel like home There's a burning in my pride, a nervous bleeding in my brain An ounce of peace is all I want for you. นั้น ๆ วันแรกก็โดดเลย เดี๋ยวก็โดดทั้งเทอมหรอก หน้าหนาวยิ่งไม่ปราณีใครด้วย พูดถึง HIP พี่ว่าเป็นนิตยสารแจกฟรีที่เจ๋งที่สุดในเชียงใหม่แล้วล่ะ ปกติหัวอื่นมันมีแต่ form ไร้ content แต่กับเล่มนี้ผิดกัน พี่เห็นด้วยกับช่วงวิจารณ์ดนตรี เขียนได้ดีครับ คุณสมชายทำนิตยสารได้ดีทีเดียว ตอนนี้พี่กำลังชอบนิตยสารหัวใหม่ ทำโดย อธิคม (อดีต A Day Weekly มั้ง) ชื่อว่า Way อ่านแล้วได้อารมณ์คล้ายกับ Open ในอดีตครับ เล่มห้าสิบบาทแต่แทบไม่มีโฆษณาเลย เห็นแล้วต้องช่วยอุดหนุนเพราะคงทำต่อไม่ได้ถ้าไร้คนสนับสนุน โอ้ว เพลง Hate me ชอบจัง โดยเฉพาะท่อนฮุค ทำได้น่าสนใจดีครับ   โดย: I will see U in the next life. 24 ตุลาคม 2549 19:02:03 น.
