กิจกรรมพิเศษประจำเดือนมิถุนายน 2556 – แต่งเติมกลอนต้านยาเสพติด ณ สมาคม YMCA เชียงใหม่ (สันติธรรม) เมื่อวันเสาร์ที่ 22 มิถุนายน 2556 เวลา 09.30 – 13.00 น.

เนื่องด้วยทุกวันที่ 26 มิถุนายน เป็นวันสุนทรภู่ กวีเอกของโลก ซึ่งยูเนสโก (UNESCO ) ได้ประกาศเกียรติคุณให้เป็นบุคคล สำคัญของโลกเมื่อปี พ.ศ. ๒๕๒๙ ในวาระที่ครบรอบ ๒๐๐ ปีเกิด ของท่าน สุนทรภู่ถือได้ว่าเป็นกวีสามัญชนที่สร้างผลงานอัน ทรงคุณค่ามากที่สุด บทกลอนของท่านได้เป็นแบบอย่างที่คนไทยยึดถือมาจนถึงปัจจุบันนี้

และในขณะเดียวกันในวันที่ 26 มิถุนายนของทุกปี ตามประกาศ ตามมติของสมัชชาใหญ่แห่งสหประชาชาติ (UNGA) เป็นวัน สำคัญสากล เพื่อต่อต้านการใช้ยาในทางผิด และค้ายาที่ไม่ถูก ต้องตามกฎหมาย โดยหมายความถึงยาเสพติด ยึดถือเป็นวัน สำคัญประจำปีมา ตั้งแต่การประกาศเมื่อ 26 มิถุนายน พ.ศ. 2531 (ค.ศ. 1988) เหตุที่กำหนดวันที่นี้ เพื่อเป็นที่ระลึกแก่การถอนสัมปทานการค้าฝิ่น โดย นายอำเภอ หลิน เจ๋อสวี ตำบล หู่เหมิน มณฑลกวางตุ้ง ก่อนสงครามฝิ่นครั้งแรก

สมาคม YMCA เชียงใหม่ (สันติธรรม) จึงได้จัดการรณรงค์ให้สมาชิก ผู้ปกครอง และเจ้าหน้าที่ได้ตระหนักถึงพิษภัยของยาเสพติด ด้วยการนำกลอนแปดมาเป็นกิจกรรมเชื่อมต่อในการทำกิจกรรมครั้ง โดยให้เด็กๆ เติมคำคล้องจองให้ถูกต้องในกลอนกำหนด น้องๆ สมาชิกให้ความสนใจเข้าร่วมกิจกรรมเป็นอย่างยิ่ง นอกจากนั้นยังได้จัดบอร์ดแสดงประวัติ และผลงานบางส่วนของท่านสุนทรภู่ รวมทั้งบอร์ดรณรงค์ต่อต้านยาเสพติดในโอกาสเดียวกันนี้ด้วย
