คิดถึงพ่อ

ทุกครั้งที่ฉันคิดถึงเธอ

ใจมันคอยบอกตัวเองอยู่เสมอ

ว่าเธอนั้นเป็นสุขไปแล้ว

ทุกครั้งที่ฉันนั้นเห็นภาพเธอ

วันคืนเก่าๆ ก็กลับมาเสมอ

มีแต่เธอที่จะไม่กลับมาแล้ว

* ยังมีอีกหลายสิ่ง

ที่ฉันยังไม่เคยพูดสักที

และมีอีกหลายอย่าง

ที่ไม่เคยทำจนวันนี้

My child arrived just the other day
come to the world in the usual way
but there were planes to catch

he learned to walk while I was away
he was talking for a minute
and as he grew

Well my son turned ten
just the other day
he said thanks for the ball Dad
come on let's play
can you teach me to throw

he said that's o.k.
and he walked away and he
smiled and he said

Well he came from college
just the other day
so much like a man I just had to say
I'm proud of you could you
sit for a while
he shook his head
and he said with a smile
what I'd really like Dad
is to borrow the car keys

my son's moved away
