"May It Be" appeared on the soundtrack of Peter Jackson's movie The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring. It was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Song at the 2002 ceremonies, but it lost to Randy Newman's "If I Didn't Have You" from Monsters, Inc.
