Ithaca from my Greek friend, Iliacinama
Ithaca is a Greek island. Ulysses(Odysseas) was the king of Ithaca. He left his wife and son to go help at the war in Troy. He faught for ten years there and when the war was finished, he tried to come back home at Ithaca. But the god of the sea, Poseidon didn't like him so he was put a lot of obstacles, difficulties in his way back . But Ulysses wanted so much to go home and after long time in the sea, after many adventures and difficulties he came back home.
We're all trying to find our Ithaca. We all want to find our home, to reach somewhere, to reach to our Ithaca.
Some of us, we will find our Ithaca one day, some otheres , we will not find it, but we we will have Try.
It's not Ithaca. It's the trip in life that is important.
We must try to have a good trip in our life. We'll meet many difficulties in life, we'll meet new friends, many experiences, many feelings and from all these we'll be rich , rich inside us.
I wish my Endeavour to have a nice trip in your life and to find one day your Itacha.

"อิทาคา" เป็นเกาะหนึ่งในประเทศกรีซ ขณะนั้น อูลิซิส เป็นกษัตริย์ผู้ครองแผ่นดิน เขาต้องจากบ้านเมือง บุตรและภรรยาไปทำสงครามในกรุงทรอย ใช้เวลาต่อสู้นับสิบปีจนกระทั่งสงครามสิ้นสุด อูลิซิสจึงมุ่งหน้ากลับไปยังอิทาคา แต่เทพเจ้าแห่งท้องทะเล "โพเซดอน" ทรงพิโรธที่เขากระทำสงคราม จึงบันดาลให้มีอุปสรรค ความยากลำบาก ระหว่างเดินทางกลับบ้าน แต่นั่นไม่ทำให้อูลิซิสย่อท้อ เขาต้องใช้เวลายาวนาน ผจญภัยด้วยความลำบากต่าง ๆ นา ๆ ในที่สุดด้วยความบากบั่นอูลิซิสก็ได้กลับสู่บ้านเกิดเมืองนอนสู่อ้อมกอดของบุตรและภรรยา ณ "อิทาคา" ของเขา
พวกเราทุกคนต่างก็พยายามหา"อิทาคา" อิทาคาของบางคน คือบ้าน บ้าง คือ ที่ไหนๆ ที่ไขว่คว้า ทุกคนต่างต้องการจะไปถึงยังอิทาคาของตน
คนบางคนก็ค้นพบและเอื้อมถึงในวันหนึ่ง แต่สำหรับบางคนอาจไม่พานพบเลย แต่ก็ยังไม่ละซึ่งความพยายาม
สิ่งสำคัญนั้นไม่ได้อยู่ที่"อิทาคา" แต่มันคือการเดินทางระหว่างไปให้ถึงต่างหาก
การเดินทางของชีวิตที่เราจะต้องพบทั้งความราบรื่นและยากลำบาก ต้องพบปะมิตรสหายใหม่ๆ มีประสบการณ์มากมาย ก่อให้เกิดความรู้สึกหลากหลาย จากสิ่งที่เราเก็บเกี่ยวระหว่างทางนี้แหละที่ทำให้คนเรารู้สึกมั่งมีพร้อมพรั่งในตนเอง
ฉันขออวยพรให้ การเดินทางของเพื่อนรักจงงดงามเพื่อว่าวันหนึ่งเธอจะได้พบ อิทาคา ของเธอ
