ฉันเป็นแม่ไก่

อยากได้ลูกเป็ดมาเลี้ยง
ลูกเป็ดน่าสงสาร
หลงพ่อ พลัดแม่
หาทางกลับบ้านไม่เจอ
ได้แต่ซุกตัว หนาวสั่น
ได้แต่หลบหน้า หิวจนแสบไส้
แต่ไม่กล้าออกจากหนองน้ำที่แห้งแล้ง
รอวันฝนตก
รอวันน้ำในหนองเจิ่งนองขึ้นมาอีกครั้ง
คิดเอาว่าอยู่แบบนี้ก็ได้
อยู่แบบนี้ก็ไม่ตาย
อยู่แบบนี้ก็ดีกว่าเสี่ยงออกไปผจญกับโลกภายนอก
ลูกเป็ดกลัวเป็นเหยื่อของสัตว์อื่น
ลูกเป็ดกลัวหลงทาง กลับมาที่หนองน้ำที่แห้งแล้งนั้น ไม่ถูก
ลูกเป็ดเลยซุกตัว หลบอยู่อย่างนั้น
บอกตัวเองว่า สบายดี

แม่ไก่ที่เคยเป็นลูกไก่
หลงพ่อ พลัดแม่
เคยเป็นแบบเดียวกะลูกเป็ด
เคยบอกตัวเองว่า อยู่แบบนี้ก็ไม่ตาย
อยู่แบบนี้ก็ดีกว่าเสี่ยงออกไปผจญกับโลกภายนอก
เพราะกลัวเป็นเหยื่อของสัตว์อื่น
กลัวหลงทาง กลับมาที่หนองน้ำที่แห้งแล้งนั้น ไม่ถูก
เคยซุกตัว หลบอยู่อย่างนั้น
และบอกตัวเองว่า สบายดี

วันนี้ฉันเป็นแม่ไก่
ผ่านทางมา
และอยากได้ลูกเป็ดมาเลี้ยง
