A Definition of "a World" for an Individual:
==================================================
Why do people think differently in one specific subject?
To come up with an educated guess, a speculation or an answer, one extreme example should be illustrated and, an awaiting answer might be drawn.
Few months ago, I watched a 60-minute Show.... It was about islamic people in a remote area of Pakistan. In that particular area, people were very religious. They prayed and practiced everything required in Islam.
The show moved on to a morgue where male children were taught and educated with one single book in their lives, the holy Koran.
There was a male teenager. He was around 15-16 years of age... He could remember everything in the holy book from very beginning to very end. He'd done this since he was a young boy...
"Maybe since I was 6 or 7 years old", he said.
In this case, the young man's current environment and his Koran were the only place he knew, taught, inculcated and perceived. "His world" apart from that was interpretations of what he learned from his real experiences and from the book.
From this particular circumstance, behaviors deviating from what he was told were prohibited or not allowed.... It's deranged from his norms and his "world".
This conflict in perceptions was illustrated from one small example. Collectively, from one person in that remote village of Pakistan to a larger group of people in his very same village, to a provincial area in the country, to the whole country of Pakistan, to the whole region of the adjoining middle east, to the whole islamic world, collectively, people already had had "another world" within their perceptions.
This artilce wasn't aiming to criticize Islam and their perceptions, nor point out a way to solve a global conflict between Islamic people and others. On the other hand, as the author, I would like to stress about how and why one single individual could see, percieve and justify one issue differently....
That might depend on what kind he/she really was intrinsically as a human being. But, in my humble opinion, it primarily depended on "the world" he/she had been exposed to. Thus, "the world" could be a stagnant, unchanged one for some individuals and maybe the same for generations. Or, "the world" could be a constantly metamorphosizing one for others.
If I may have a suggestion, one and only suggestion I am going to make is; "Travel and explore "the world" and you may see, perceive and understand "your world" differently."
