สุวรรณภูมิอันดับ ท่าอากาศยานดีเด่นของโลก
SKYTRAX ประกาศผลโหวตท่าอากาศยานดีเด่นจากผู้โดยสารทั่วโลก 12 ล้านคนสุวรรณภูมิได้อันดับ 10 ของโลกในกลุ่มที่มีผู้โดยสาร 30-50 ล้านคนต่อปี ขณะที่อินชอนครองอันดับ 1, ชางงีอันดับ 2, มาเลเซียติดที่ 5นายสมชัย สวัสดีผล ผู้อำนวยการท่าอากาศยานสุวรรณภูมิ บริษัท ท่าอากาศยานไทย จำกัด (มหาชน) หรือ ทอท. เปิดเผยว่า ท่าอากาศยานสุวรรณภูมิได้รับการจัดอันดับให้เป็นท่าอากาศยานที่ให้บริการดีเด่นอันดับ 10 ของโลกในกลุ่มท่าอากาศยานที่มีผู้โดยสารใช้บริการระหว่าง 30-50   ล้านคนต่อปี จากการโหวตของผู้โดยสารที่ใช้บริการท่าอากาศยานต่างๆ ทั่วโลกจำนวน 385 แห่งผ่านทางเว็บไซต์ //www.worldairportsurvey.com  ระหว่างเดือนกรกฎาคม 2554 จนถึงช่วงต้นปี 2555 ที่ผ่านมา โดย SKYTRAX ซึ่งเป็นหน่วยงานที่จัดอันดับท่าอากาศยานดีเด่นระดับโลกอีกแห่งหนึ่งภายใต้ชื่อ SKYTRAX World Airport Awards ได้ประกาศผลเมื่อวันที่ 19 เมษายน 2555 ที่ผ่านมา

โดยในปีนี้มีผู้ใช้บริการจากทั่วโลกเข้าร่วมโหวตให้คะแนนกว่า 12 ล้านคน ซึ่งได้นำมาจัดอันดับตามคะแนนสูงสุดในประเภทต่างๆ เช่น การแบ่งตามภูมิภาค การแบ่งตามศักยภาพการรองรับผู้โดยสาร สำหรับ ท่าอากาศยานดีเด่นของโลกที่ได้รับการจัดอันดับจาก SKYTRAX ตามลำดับ 1-5  ได้แก่ ท่าอากาศยานอินชอน สาธารณรัฐเกาหลี   ท่าอากาศยานชางงี ประเทศสิงคโปร์  ท่าอากาศยานอัมเตอร์ดัมส์ ประเทศเนเธอร์แลนด์ ท่าอากาศยานมิวนิก ประเทศเยอรมนี ท่าอากาศยานกัวลาลัมเปอร์ ประเทศมาเลเซีย

อย่างไรก็ตาม เมื่อต้นปีที่ผ่านมาสภาท่าอากาศยานสากล Airports Council International (ACI) ได้ประกาศให้ท่าอากาศยานสุวรรณภูมิเป็นท่าอากาศยานดีเด่นอันดับ 7  ของโลกประจำปี 2554 ในกลุ่มท่าอากาศยานที่มีผู้โดยสารใช้บริการ 40 ล้านคนขึ้นไป และสถาบัน Concentrating  ได้ประกาศให้ท่าอากาศยานสุวรรณภูมิ เป็นท่าอากาศยานดีเด่นอันดับ 1 ของโลกประจำปี 2555 ที่มีการจัดสิ่งอำนวยความสะดวกไว้อย่างดีสำหรับผู้ใช้บริการชาวมุสลิม หรือ“Halal Friendly Airports”
